Here in my town it is still raining daily, but last week we had some mornings, sunny enough and without rain, to go to the cattle and crop lands north of town, a place that people here call “La Monterosa” and which I like to visit to take pictures of both landscapes and some rural scenes that I also love to appreciate... So, these photos belong to that recent tour, which I started very early in the morning, when the fog was still hanging all along the valley, but then, as the hours went by, the atmosphere gradually cleared up to give way to an embracing sun...

Aquí en mi pueblo sigue lloviendo a diario, pero la semana pasada tuvimos algunas mañanas lo suficiente soleadas y sin lluvias como para poder ir hasta las tierras de ganadería y sembradíos al Norte del pueblo, un lugar a el que aquí las personas llaman "La Monterosa" y al cual me gusta visitar para hacer fotos tanto de paisajes como de algunas escenas rurales que también me encanta apreciar... Así que, estas fotos pertenecen a ese recorrido reciente, el cual comencé muy temprano en la mañana, cuando la neblina aún se posaba a lo largo de todo el valle, pero luego, con el pasar de las horas, la atmósfera se fue despejando gradualmente hasta dar paso a un sol abrazador...

Rural roads can often be as eloquent as the streets of my hometown. Also, these are very changeable places. You can take a picture of a landscape at sunrise shrouded in mist, a picture of someone coming down the road carrying a pig, and a little further away shoot a portrait of a young bull grazing. And all this, believe me, can happen in a hundred meters and a few minutes. This is mainly due to the fact that these crop and livestock lands are at a very short distance from the margins of the village. So, it is very common that people who live in the village have small parcels of land there and are used to go back and forth from one place to another either walking, on motorcycles, bicycles or on horseback... Certainly a great thing to take pictures! 😀📷

Los caminos rurales frecuentemente pueden ser tan elocuentes como las calles de mi pueblo. Además, son lugares muy cambiantes. Lo mismo puede uno hacer una foto de un paisaje en un amanecer envuelto en neblinas, que la foto de alguien viniendo por el camino llevando un cerdo y un poco más allá disparar un retrato a un toro joven pastando. Y todo esto, créanme, puede ocurrir en un centenar de metros y unos pocos minutos. Esto se debe principalmente a que estas tierras de cultivo y ganadería están a muy poca distancia de las márgenes del pueblo. Entonces, es muy común que personas que viven en el pueblo tengan allí pequeñas parcelas de tierra y acostumbren ir y venir de un lugar a otro ya sea caminando, en motocicletas, bicicletas o a lomos de caballo... ¡Ciertamente, algo muy bueno para hacer fotos! 😀📷

Yes, there are tricky lights to contend with, some mosquito bites to endure, and after 9 AM the heat and humidity can make me feel like I'm in a steamer. But all that is not enough to make coming to take pictures in these rural roads, stop being an enchanting experience... This is just a small sample of all the photos I took that day, so you will see more photos with this same theme very soon posted by me here on #Hive.

Sí, hay que luchar con las luces complicadas, también soportar algunas picaduras de mosquitos y pasadas las 9 AM el calor y la humedad pueden hacerme sentir como estando metido en una olla vaporera. Pero todo eso no es suficiente como para que venir a hacer fotos en estos caminos rurales, deje de ser una experiencia encantadora... Esta es apenas una pequeña muestra de todas las fotos que hice ese día, así que verán más fotos con esta misma temática muy pronto publicadas por mi aquí en #Hive.
