Last time we started a brand new game. Instead of a drunk hobo cop this time we play as supouselly brilliant spy CASCADE. But despite our brilliance it seems that in the past we made some really bad mistakes that are hunting us to this day. Our last mission ended in a failure and we were locked in the freezer? But now the government requires our help again. With what? No idea. Our partner Pseudopod was about to brief us on the new assignment but then someone attacked him and now he is unconscious and barely alive...and without his pants. After learning this our controller Melita ordered us to abort the mission and leave the city immediately. But we are done following any orders. We work for ourselves now and will use our legendary spy abilities for that end. So we went downstairs and talked with a photo lady(another agent). She suegest that we could get a docter to evaluate our partners condition. Also photo lay claimed that no one else besides us and Pseudopod has been in our room. So who and how attacked him is still a mystery.
This time we fixed a fax machine and then went outside for the first time. Visually this game definitely looks great. I already looking forward to getting lost in this world of espionage and intrigue.
After a bit of wandering around we found a weird guy. Then we first saw him he was talking to himself. Luckily this lunatic did not seem dangerous...just not very competent. He claimed to be a technician. But he knew very little about his job. And also he said... that in the past he lived on the moon. Seems like a really reasonable and trusty fellow, right? Either way we had a short debate about after life. It ended with our agreement to disagree.
Conversation with that person proved to be tiresome so went to bar to get a drink. Some informations as well perhaps. In the bar we met even more bizarre man. We did not learn his name. But his title was a man with no heart. He seemed to be just some old spy. But I still wonder if this could mean that this person is very cruel or has no mercy? Anyway narrator claimed that we never met. Still this weirdo knew our reputation well. He called us a notorious spy who had spent time in the freezer and now is in the spy game again. He also said that some people have ,,It''- some special quality of the chosen few. I don't know our character CASCADE very well yet. But I am playing her a bit like I would play Johan Liebert from Monster manga/anime. And Johan thinks very lowly about humanity and doesn't consider himself special either. So we claimed that we don't care about having or not having ,,It''. After that the man with no heart offered us some potentially valuable information in exchange for some personal favor. Then we spoke with bartender and earned a bit of money by cleaning tables in the bar.
Then the night came and we went to see the doctor and ask him to check health of our partner Pseudopod. The problem is that the doctor was a bit crazy(perhaps even more than most people we met so far). He believed that a kid outside named Marco is spying on him. And that Marco is a narcoman? The doctor also threatend to kill himself. So situation was not good. The doctor asked us to take out one of the Marco teeth and bring it the doctor. Who are we to dissagree with a reasonable request like that... We tried to bully Marco to give us one of his teeth. We failed and only got some of his blood. So that was not enough to convince doctor to calm down. Also it seems that doctor was not entirely wrong in suspecting Marco- someone did sent Marco to stand next to doctor's home. But so far we could not get the kid to reveal who sent him there. So went back to our room and slept all the rest of the night. So far(2+ hours in) this game is a lot of fun.
