A morning walk was the idea that led us to set off from our house to Cantaura Avenue; that's how my mom's and my morning began. That day we decided not to take public transportation and instead go for a walk, something we hadn't done in a while. As we started walking, I decided to take some photos of the route, and I'm going to show them to you here so you can get an idea of how our day of walking, photos, and shopping went.

El recorrido lo comenzamos caminando entre el polideportivo para acortar el camino y por la fresca sombra de los árboles de mango.

We started the tour by walking between the sports center to shorten the route and through the cool shade of the mango trees.

Aquí está la chancha de béisbol y a veces hay entrenamientos pero ese día no había,muchos niños juegan y hay temporadas en dónde hacen partidos los fin de semana.

Here's the baseball field and sometimes there are practices but there weren't any that day. Many children play and there are seasons when they have games on the weekends.

Este camino me gusta por la fila de árboles.

I like this path because of the row of trees.

A photo of me under the bright morning sun, and it was already a bit hot even though it was quite early.

We still had a way to go, and we were already near the sports complex, by the mural with the various sports-related drawings. This part of Cantaura is quite large, with several areas that used to house the sports fields, the theater, the swimming pool, and the promenade. It's a really beautiful place, and it's conveniently located on our way to the town center when we're walking.

Then we were walking near the mangrove, that's what we call an area full of mango trees, and I don't know if a monkey that used to live in the mango trees still lives there. Further along, right there in the mangrove, there were some pretty little flowers, and I took a picture of them too.

We're almost there and we're already on a sloping street. We're a little tired, but we're almost there. If you've noticed, there's a lot of vegetation here in Cantaura.
