Hablemos del cast de la serie, a pesar de que solo se ha estrenado un capítulo de la serie mediante los trailers nos han confirmado lo que vendría siendo el reparto completo de ésta. Con Pedro Pascal y Bella Ramsey como nuestro protagonistas Ellie Y Joel quienes tendrán que realizar un increíble viaje para poder llevar a ellie, la niña inmune, a dar con una posible cura para la brutal pandemia de Cordyceps. Para otros personajes tenemos a Gabriel Luna como Tommy (hermano de Joel), Nico Parker (Hija de Joel), Anna Torv (Tess) y Merle Dandridge (Marlene). Igualmente y como regalo nos traen a los que le dieron vida a nuestros protagonistas en el videojuego Troy Baker y Ashley Johnson realizando dos papeles que aún no están del todo confirmados pero que se diría son la madre de Ellie y un acompañante de un grupo caníbal.

La serie estadounidense con género drama, ciencia ficción y post-apocalíptica fue estrenada (su primer episodio) el 15 de enero del 2023 y fue co-escrita y producida por el creador de Chernobyl, Craig Mazin y el vicepresidente de Naughty dog, Neil Druckmann y será distribuida por la cadena de transmisión HBO y por consiguiente HBOMAX. La trama está basada en el videojuego del mismo nombre la cual sigue la vida de Joel Miller y Ellie quienes deben realizar un peligroso viaje a través de los Estados Unidos en plena pandemia debido al brote de el hongo Cordyceps el cual convierte a sus víctimas en atacantes sedientos de sangre. Joel teniendo un pasado traumático debe aceptar llevar a Ellie en un viaje en el que ambos deben mantenerse en vida ya que ella podría ser la única cura al virus debido a que es inmune. Otro dato muy importante es que está es la primera serie de HBO basada en un videojuego y por lo que pudimos ver en el primer capítulo será de las mejores adaptaciones de series basadas en videojuegos.
The American drama, science fiction and post-apocalyptic series premiered (its first episode) on January 15, 2023 and was co-written and produced by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog VP Neil Druckmann and will be distributed by the HBO broadcast network and thus HBOMAX. La serie estrenada en el 2023 cuenta con el primer estreno de su primer capítulo ya disponible en la plataforma HBO MAX y en cualquier página de películas/series online, los demás capítulos tendrán secuencia de estreno los domingos a las 10 pm (Venezuela). La duración de su primer capítulo y la cuál es sorprende es de 1 hora con 20 minutos y éste primer capítulo cuenta con una clasificación de +17 ya que contiene escenas de violencia gráfica, escenas de sangre, lenguaje vulgar y esto se podría aplicar a la serie en general.

Para los que ya conocemos este videojuego y la increíble historia de estos personajes nos emocionó muchísimo tener noticias sobre ellos y aún más cuando anunciaron una serie, de la mano de HBO (la cuál me enamoró con su estilo de hacer series como House of the Dragon y Euphoria) quienes según rumores invirtieron muchísimo dinero en llevar a cabo ésta adaptación. Aunque hubieron muchísimas críticas (además de dudas) al respecto de la elección de nuestros dos personajes principales Joel y Ellie creo que pudieron tragarse sus palabras ya que el primer capítulo fue excepcional, definitivamente la elección fue completamente sabia y muy buena debido a que, en mi opinión, estos dos actores lograron representar increíblemente a estos dos personajes llenos de tanta historia y personalidad, desde que los anunciaron estuve expectante ya que lo importante era que estuvieran representandolos como es, con sus actitudes y destrezas y con este primer capítulo fue de verdad una bomba por lo parecidos que son a los personajes del juego, sin duda alguna una gran elección en cuanto al cast. No olvidar que nos brindaron algo muchísimo más increíble, la intro, la cuál fue magnífica tanto visualmente como musicalmente la cual tiene la canción principal dentro del juego de the last of us, escrita y compuesta por el gran Gustavo Santaolalla quien nos brindó un increíble soundtrack para la primera entrega del juego.
For those of us who already know this video game and the incredible story of these characters we were very excited to have news about them and even more when they announced a series, by the hand of HBO (which made me fall in love with their style of making series like House of the Dragon and Euphoria) who according to rumors invested a lot of money in carrying out this adaptation. Although there was a lot of criticism (as well as doubts) about the choice of our two main characters Joel and Ellie I think they could swallow their words since the first chapter was exceptional, definitely the choice was completely wise and very good because, in my opinion, These two actors managed to represent incredibly these two characters full of so much history and personality, since they were announced I was expectant because the important thing was that they were representing them as it is, with their attitudes and skills and with this first chapter was really a bomb because of how similar they are to the characters of the game, no doubt a great choice in terms of cast. Not to forget that they gave us something much more incredible, the intro, which was magnificent both visually and musically which has the main song in the game of the last of us, written and composed by the great Gustavo Santaolalla who gave us an incredible soundtrack for the first installment of the game.
Creo que lo que más me impresionó del primer capítulo fue la cantidad de exactitud en las escenas, porque no solo eran algunas coincidencias como las acciones o las vestimentas e incluso objetos sino en los diálogos y de verdad que me encantó el hecho de que agregaran diálogos sacados del mismo juego y siento que a muchísimos amantes de este videojuego nos hizo muchísima ilusión ver una adaptación tan exacta ya que se nota el increíble trabajo y dedicación que hubo detrás de cada escena y en los detalles. Como si estuviese jugando el juego por primera vez la escena de la muerte de Sarah fue completamente devastadora y dolorosa y creo que fue gracias a que ambos (tanto Pedro pascal haciendo a Joel como a Nico Parker haciendo a Sarah) mostraron el dolor y la tristeza de una forma muy fuerte, después de ver esa escena sabía que vendrían muchísimas más escenas cargadas de sentimiento y dolor pero así como estaban estás escenas nos brindaron unas llenas de felicidad siendo la escena de Joel con Sarah cuando ésta le da su regalo de cumpleaños.
I think what impressed me the most in the first chapter was the amount of accuracy in the scenes, because not only were there some coincidences like the actions or the clothes and even objects but also in the dialogues and I really loved the fact that they added dialogues taken from the same game and I feel that a lot of lovers of this videogame were very excited to see such an accurate adaptation because you can see the incredible work and dedication behind each scene and in the details. As if I was playing the game for the first time the scene of Sarah's death was completely devastating and painful and I think it was thanks to both (both Pedro Pascal playing Joel and Nico Parker playing Sarah) showed the pain and sadness in a very strong way, after seeing that scene I knew that many more scenes full of feeling and pain would come but as well as these scenes were they gave us some full of happiness being the scene of Joel with Sarah when she gives him his birthday present.
Lo que más me emociona de esta serie es que siento que va a atrapar a mucho público que no conocía la historia y siento que va a volver a traer aquella emoción de las personas que jugaron el juego en aquel 2013, además de que el tipo de series post-apocalipticas volverá con ésta serie (y muy pronto con los spin-off de the walking dead, los cuales espero con muchísimas ansías) y que por lo general me encantan este tipo de historias, va a hacer que una nueva generación vuelva a tener una probada de lo que era una serie llena de acción y cosas completamente fuera de este mundo. Además al inicio del episodio nos dan una introducción sobre lo que sería el desarrollo de este virus, que aunque parezca inofensivo podría ser una completa amenaza real.
What excites me the most about this series is that I feel that it will catch a lot of public that didn't know the story and I feel that it will bring back the excitement of the people that played the game in 2013, besides that the post-apocalyptic series will return with this series (and very soon with the spin-off of the walking dead, which I'm looking forward to a lot) and that I usually love this kind of stories, it will make a new generation to have a taste of what was a series full of action and things completely out of this world. Un dato importante es que Sarah conservaba una imagen de ella y Joel juntos en su habitación, haciendo clara referencia al videojuego donde existía una foto de Joel y Sarah la cuál éste no podía mirar ya que aún después de tantos años no había podido superar la muerte de su hija.

Un último dato es que al final del capítulo se puede ver una vista amplia de los edificios entre las neblinas y en uno de estos edificios se puede visualizar uno de los famosos clickers o los infectados, que su nombre hace mención a que el virus busca una forma de alimentarse y se come a su huésped haciéndolo brotar y tener un aspecto terrorífico además de que clicker también sería en base al sonido que realizan cuando se encuentran con una persona. Esta pequeña imagen nos regala una probada a lo que veremos el domingo de la semana que viene en el siguiente capítulo.

Por último destaco la actuación de Bella Ramsey como nuestra ellie, la cuál le demostró a muchísimas personas que está a la altura para interpretarla además de que es básicamente ella, sus actitudes, su rebeldía y rabia por toda la situación, su forma de buscar sobrevivir y de evitar que pasen por encima de ella. También resaltare la increíble labor de la parte escenográfica y los encargados de realizar todo lo que vendría siendo imagen, maquillaje y escenarios ya que lograron representar perfectamente lo que sería una verdadera pandemia donde las personas vivieran bajo un régimen diferente, en dónde existe la tiranía y el contrabando, donde las personas aún viven con la ilusión de que alguna persona que conocen estén aún vivas enviando mensajes de radio y dónde todos son susceptibles a contagiarse con este brutal virus.
Finally, I would like to highlight Bella Ramsey's performance as our Ellie, who proved to many people that she is up to the task of playing her and that it is basically her, her attitudes, her rebelliousness and rage for the whole situation, her way of trying to survive and avoid being passed over. I would also like to highlight the incredible work of the scenography and those in charge of the image, makeup and scenery, as they managed to perfectly represent what would be a real pandemic where people live under a different regime, where there is tyranny and smuggling, where people still live with the illusion that someone they know is still alive sending radio messages and where everyone is susceptible to catching this brutal virus.
