Greetings, dear friends of #lifestyle. I hope you’re all doing well and staying healthy.
While going through the hundreds of photos I have saved on my cell phone, I came across these from one of our family lunches during my sister and nephews’ visit here in Bogotá. And, as often happens with photos, I remembered the moment—and everything that went into it.
To fit everyone at the table, we had to push three or four tables together, and amid laughter, we almost filled the place. But what I like most about these photos is seeing us like this again: together, sharing, talking, and enjoying something as simple and as precious as a family lunch.
It had been a while since we’d done it that way—as we did so many times at my house, gathered around a table that seemed to get bigger every time someone arrived.
Today, I look at these pictures and realize that, in the end, those are the moments we cherish the most. A table full of family, stories, laughter, and happy hearts.
And yes… as the saying goes: a full belly, a happy heart. And when our little bellies are filled with food and our hearts with family, the memory lasts forever.

Revisando las cientos de fotos que tengo guardadas en mi celular, me encontré con estas de uno de nuestros almuerzos familiares durante la visita de mi hermana y sobrinos acá en Bogotá. Y, como suele pasar con las fotos, recordé el momento, y también todo lo que había detrás de él.
Para poder sentarnos todos juntos tuvimos que pegar tres o cuatro mesas y, entre risas, casi que llenamos el lugar. Pero lo que más me gusta de estas fotos es volver a vernos así: juntos, compartiendo, conversando y disfrutando de algo tan sencillo y tan valioso como un almuerzo en familia.
Hacía tiempo que no lo hacíamos de esa manera, como tantas veces lo hicimos en mi casa, alrededor de una mesa que parecía hacerse más grande cada vez que llegaba alguien.
Hoy veo estas imágenes y me doy cuenta de que, al final, esos son los momentos que uno guarda con más cariño. Una mesa llena de familia, de historias, de risas y de corazones contentos.
Y sí… como dice el refrán: barriga llena, corazón contento. Y cuando la barriguita se llena de comida y el corazón de familia, el recuerdo queda para siempre.
