Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m stopping by to share a new chapter in my life with you all. This past August has been relatively quiet; I’ve taken care of several things related to work and home. As that happens, other things are also taking shape. I’ve spent this weekend sitting down to carefully organize files on my computer that needed to be put in order. You have no idea how much stuff I have saved. So much, in fact, that I’ll probably have to buy another portable hard drive. I have photos and videos of everything. And that’s even after I lost a large portion of them due to a problem with my CPU (caused by a power outage). It’s something I really regret, since I had pictures of my grandmother and dad, who are no longer with us.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. Este mes de agosto ha sido relativamente tranquilo, se han hecho varias cosas con respecto al trabajo y a la casa. Así como eso sucede, también otras cosas van tomando forma. He dedicado este fin de semana para poder sentarme con detenimiento a ordenar archivos en la computadora que necesitaba poner en su lugar. No se hacen a una idea de la cantidad de cosas que tengo guardadas. Tanto, que es probable que tenga que comprar otro disco duro portátil. Tengo fotos y videos de todo. Y eso que perdí una gran parte de ellos por una cuestión que tuvo que ver con una falla en el cpu (por una baja de electricidad). Algo que realmente lamento pues tenía imágenes de mi abuela y papá quienes ya no se encuentran en este plano.
On the other hand, it’s been raining a lot these past few days, and I’m surprised at how predictable it is—it always rains at the same time. My mother, who lives in Valencia, told me there was lightning and thunder everywhere on Saturday. This was due to the tropical storm that crossed the country and caused quite a bit of damage in Caracas, Miranda, Maracay, and part of Carabobo. Here in Puerto Ordaz, we haven’t been affected, and although there’s heavy rain, everything is proceeding as normal. Late in the evening, I decided to go out because I wanted to breathe some fresh air after spending the whole day on the computer. I really love being able to move my feet, feel the air on my body, take in everything around me, and feel alive again. It’s always a good idea to get out of the house, even if just for a little while.
For now, I just hope things get better. I’m trying to take it one day at a time—tackling one thing at a time. There’s so much to do, but the most important thing is to remember, day by day, who I am and not let the light that remains within me fade away. Por otro lado, han sido días de mucha lluvia y me sorprende lo bien cronometrado que está, pues siempre llueve a la misma hora. Mi madre que vive en Valencia me comentó que hubo centellas y rayos por doquier durante el día sábado. Esto a causa de la obra tropical que atravesó el país y causó bastantes estragos en Caracas, Miranda, Maracay y parte de Carabobo. Aquí Puerto Ordaz no se ha visto afectada y aunque hay lluvias fuertes, todo transcurre con total normalidad. En la tarde noche decidí salir, pues deseaba poder respirar algo de aire fresco luego de estar todo el día en la computadora. Realmente me gusta poder mover los pies, sentir el aire en mi cuerpo, ver todo a mi alrededor y llenarme de vida otra vez. Siempre es una buena idea salir de casa aunque sea un rato.
Por los momentos, solo espero que las cosas mejoren. Intento ir un día a la vez. Resolver una cosa primero y luego la otra. Hay tanto por hacer, pero lo más importante es poder recordar día a día quién soy y no dejar morir la luz que queda en mí. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
