Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today, I’m here to share another day from my life with you. I want to tell you about the start of a new term in what was previously called the "Drawing Workshop"—now renamed the "Visual Arts Workshop," a title that better reflects the actual content we cover in class. This is our second year, and I’m really excited about it!
Classes actually began a week ago, but I couldn’t attend due to some health issues. In fact, I ended up staying in Valencia longer than planned to get that sorted out—I’ll share more about that another time. The good news is that by this past Monday, we were able to get things underway. I was welcomed by a mix of new students and some familiar faces returning for the new school year. We’re also in a different classroom now, and I’m looking forward to making the most of the space. I have to admit, i was hoping more students from last year would return, which left me feeling a bit nostalgic. But then again, i suppose as teachers, we have to get used to children coming and going—whether they decide to pursue other interests or simply stop attending a particular class—it’s a normal, even expected, part of the job. Regardless, I care for them all very much; I miss them, of course, but I wish them nothing but the best.

As for the new students, they seem lovely and very well-mannered. We didn’t dive straight into theory this week—I tried that last year, but it didn’t feel like the right approach. It’s much better to take some time to talk, get to know the children, and gather insights that will help us with future activities. With the younger group, we did a couple of group exercises and a game, followed by a "free drawing" session—which was actually a diagnostic test to gauge their current skill levels. With the second group—the older ones—we did something similar, just with fewer games (haha!). I’m so happy to have seen my "little ones" again, and I’m truly grateful to all the new students who joined us. The affection remains the same, and some wonderful things are in store! With nothing more to add, thank you very much for stopping by.
