Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m stopping by to share another day in my life with you. This time, I’m going to tell you about my Sunday—the rain finally stopped today, so we were able to plan an outing for the afternoon. Sundays are usually days when Wilfredo rests—that is, he doesn’t usually leave any pending tasks or chores, since he prefers to take care of all that during the week. So he generally treats this day as a time purely for clearing his mind. That’s important because it means we can go farther and stay out longer. For me, every day usually feels pretty much the same (especially now that I’m on vacation). Except for Fridays, which are still my favorite days. So yes, I had plenty of time and was definitely up for it.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les muestro cómo estuvo mi día domingo y es que hoy finalmente pararon las lluvias y pudimos planificar una salida en la tarde. Los domingos suelen ser días dónde Wilfredo descansa, es decir, dónde no suele dejar pendientes o tareas pues él prefiere resolver todo eso entre la semana, así que por lo general suele tomar este día cómo uno netamente para despejar la mente. Eso es relevante para el hecho de que podemos salir más lejos y por más tiempo. Yo usualmente (sobre todo ahora que estoy de vacaciones) veo todos los días un poco iguales. A excepción de los días viernes que siguen siendo mis favoritos. Así que si, si tenía todo el tiempo y al intención para esto.
I love going out with the dogs, and I wish we could both be there more often, but sometimes it’s just not possible. I’ve really enjoyed being able to go out with him these past few days. Around five o’clock, we set out for a walk from the residential area, heading down through the mall and from Villa Asia toward Villa Africana. Well, anyone from Puerto Ordaz will surely recognize these places. We ended up at the Costa Mediterránea Shopping Center. I have a special fondness for that giant clock you see in the photo because my mom used to see it from the apartment in our house. The first time she saw it, she was very curious to find out what it was, and one day she went with Wilfredo to check out that shopping center while I was at work. I think it’s funny, too—it’s cute, and I’m sure it goes unnoticed by others, but Mom thought it was something worth paying attention to.
A mí me gustan las salidas con los perritos y me gustaría que fuera más frecuente que ambos pudiéramos estar en ese momento, pero a veces no se puede. He disfrutado el poder salir estos días junto a él. A eso de las cinco salimos a caminar desde la zona residencial, bajando por el centro comercial y cayendo de Villa Asia hacia Villa Africana. Bueno, para quién sea de Puerto Ordaz seguramente reconoce estos lugares. Caímos en el Centro Comercial Costa Mediterránea. Le tengo especial aprecio a ese reloj gigante que ven en la fotografía porque mi mamá lo veía desde el apartamento de nuestra casa. Ella la primera vez que lo vió tenía mucha curiosidad por ver qué era eso y un buen día agarró con Wilfredo para conocer ese centro comercial mientras yo trabajaba. A mí también me parece gracioso, es lindo y seguro para otros pasara desapercibido, pero a mamá le pareció una cosa a tomar en cuenta.
It’s a shame that the building is a bit run-down, since I noticed that several storefronts were vacant or looked completely abandoned. The economic situation here is affecting business owners, and it’s possible that what you see in the photos isn’t even half of what it used to be. Even so, I still think it has potential. By the way, here are also some photos of the entrance to UNEG, which reminds me of the UC School of Engineering. I always see traces of Valencia everywhere. Mia had a great time, and so did we. Es una lastima que el edificio esté un poco abandonado pues note que varios locales estaban desocupados o directamente parecían locales abandonados (tiendas con dueños pero que ya no están abiertas al público). Aquí la situación económica afecta a los comerciantes y es posible que esto que ven en las imágenes no sea ni la mitad de lo que era antes. Aún así me sigue pareciendo que tiene potencial. Por cierto, también algunas imágenes de la entrada a la UNEG, que me parece similar a la Facultad de Ingeniería de la UC. Siempre veo a Valencia por doquier. Ah y unos gatitos del centro comercial comenzaron llamaron nuestra atención. Mia la pasó bastante bien y nosotros también. Sin más que decir gracias por pasar por aquí y leer mí publicación.
