πŸ“Έ PhotoFeed Contest - Black & White Photography #190 : A historical place in southern Norway

This place is a lake called Kvislevann not far from Kristiansand in southern Norway. The bridge you see is part of the old postal road between Kristiansand and Nodeland. A stretch of around 11 kilometers. The road was used in the years between 1797 until 1880. The bridge in the photo is not actually a bridge. It was made by filling up with rocks an other materials. It was done to make a shortcut across the lake. This photo is my entry to @photofeed contest https://ecency.com/@photofeed/photofeed-contest-black-and-white-photography-round-190

A bridge that is actually rocks piled into a lake for a postal shortcut is a great story, and the old Kristiansand to Nodeland road deserves the black and white treatment.

Learning it is not really a bridge but a causeway built from piled rocks makes the photo better, and black and white suits a road that carried the post from 1797 to 1880.
