Hi, everyone! And yes, after almost four years of living here in Poland, I’ve made my first friend—her name is Daniela—and we met through social media, but today we met in person for the first time, and I have to tell you we had an amazing time. Even though our original plans didn’t work out, the truth is that everything turned out better than we expected, so we’re both really happy and hope to see each other again soon.
Todo empezó con Olivia y yo en el tren, por supuesto papá nos acompañó hasta el vagón para despedirnos y luego regresó a casa ya que era solo un día de chicas jaja, Olivia estaba feliz y aunque no se note yo estaba un poco nerviosa ya que era la primera vez viajando en tren sin mi esposo, pero fue más fácil de lo que esperaba y en cuestión de una hora ya estabamos en la hermosa ciudad de Cracovia junto a Daniela y su hermosa hija Sara porque sí a ella también la conocimos y es una niña encantadora, por cierto, antes de que lo pregunten, sí, su mamá o mi amiga Daniela me dio permiso de publicar las fotos con Sara aquí en mi blog.
It all started with Olivia and me on the train. Of course, Dad walked us to the car to say goodbye and then went back home since it was just a girls’ day out, haha. Olivia was happy, and even though you might not tell, I was a little nervous since it was my first time traveling by train without my husband, but it was easier than I expected, and within an hour we were already in the beautiful city of Krakow with Daniela and her lovely daughter Sara—yes, we met her too, and she’s a charming little girl. By the way, before you ask, yes, her mom—my friend Daniela—gave me permission to post the photos with Sara here on my blog.

Al llegar a Cracovia las 4 nos fuímos al Rynek o a la Plaza del Mercado donde las niñas estaban emocionadas viendo a las palomas, mientras tanto Daniela y yo aprovechabamos de hacerles algunas fotos lindas y arriba les comparto una de ellas. Después de dar vueltas un buen rato por la ciudad y no encontrar cerca un lugar perfecto para que las niñas pudieran jugar y nosotras relajarnos a conversar, mi amiga decidió invitarnos a su casa, lo cual aprecio mucho y donde la pasamos genial.
When we arrived in Krakow, the four of us went to the Rynek, or Market Square, where the girls were excited to watch the pigeons, while Daniela and I took the opportunity to snap some cute photos of them—I’m sharing one of them above. After wandering around the city for quite a while and not finding a perfect spot nearby where the girls could play and we could relax and chat, my friend decided to invite us to her house—which I really appreciated—and we had a great time there.

Como ven en las fotos, en su casa comimos una sopa llamada Pho que pedimos a domicilio, era mi primera vez probandola y la verdad es que me encantó, y ahora no puedo esperar a volver a comerla porque estaba muy deliciosa, también Daniela y yo aprovechamos de hablarnos más de nosotras (por cierto ella es colombiana y su esposo polaco también) y brindar por el comienzo de nuestra amistad, mientras Sarita dormía la siesta y Olivia se divertía jugando con los juguetes de Sarita jajaja, luego Sarita despertó y ella y Olivia se pusieron a jugar, y era muy lindo verlas juntas por lo que aprovechabamos de hacerles más fotos juntas.
As you can see in the photos, we ate a soup called pho at her house that we ordered for delivery. It was my first time trying it, and honestly, I loved it—now I can’t wait to have it again because it was so delicious. Daniela and I also took the opportunity to get to know each other better (by the way, she’s Colombian and her husband is Polish, too) and toast to the beginning of our friendship, while Sarita took a nap and Olivia had fun playing with Sarita’s toys, hahaha. Then Sarita woke up, and she and Olivia started playing together—it was so cute to see them together, so we took the opportunity to take more photos of them together.
Sin duda alguna la pasamos increíble este día, también Olivia se divirtió mucho jugando con el gato de Sarita y es que es un peludo muy encantador, al igual que el suegro de Daniela, quien muy amablemente nos llevó a Olivia y a mí hasta la estación de tren para volver a casa. Así que esperamos que este encuentro se repita nuevamente pronto con nuestros esposos también acompañandonos, por ahora me despido y espero que les gusten las fotos de lo que fue nuestro genial día hoy.
We definitely had an amazing time today. Olivia also had a lot of fun playing with Sarita’s cat—he’s such a charming little furball—just like Daniela’s father-in-law, who was kind enough to drive Olivia and me to the train station so we could head home. So we hope to do this again soon, with our husbands joining us as well. For now, I’ll sign off, and I hope you enjoy the photos from our wonderful day today.
