Saludos a todos, con tantas fallas en mi servicio de Internet y la electricidad siento que me estoy volviendo loca estos días, pero aun así no dejo de hacer mis trabajos de aguja porque la situación esta muy difícil como para que me quede con los brazos cruzados, por eso hoy les comparto un My Melody que hice y me gustó muchísimo 🤗, eso me levantó mucho los ánimos.

Hello everyone! With so many interruptions to my internet and electricity service, I feel like I’m going crazy these days. Even so, I haven’t stopped my needlework—the situation is too tough to just sit idly by—so today I’m sharing a My Melody piece I made and really loved 🤗; it really lifted my spirits.

Proceso / Process

Trabajé con lana acrílica gruesa y ganchillo de 3.5mm, comencé con la cabeza haciendo 5 cadenas de base, en la primera hilera hice aumentos en las esquinas para obtener 12, en la segunda y tercera hilera hice 4 aumentos en cada esquina para obtener 24, hice cinco hileras sin aumentos, luego hice dos hileras con 3 disminuciones en cada esquina para obtener 12.

Para el cuerpo hice 6 aumentos en una hilera para obtener 18, en la segunda hilera para los brazos hice dos puntos puff separados entre si por una distancia de 6 puntos, hice dos hileras de 18 puntos bajos, hice una hilera igual a la segunda con puntos puff para las piernas, rellené e hice 6 disminuciones por dos hileras para cerrar.

I used chunky acrylic yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. I started with the head by making a foundation chain of 5; in the first row, I worked increases at the corners to reach 12 stitches. In the second and third rows, I made 4 increases at each corner to reach 24 stitches. I worked five rows without increases, then two rows with 3 decreases at each corner to bring the count back to 12.

For the body, I made 6 increases in one row to reach 18 stitches. In the second row, I created two puff stitches for the arms, spaced 6 stitches apart. I worked two rows of 18 single crochet stitches, then a row matching the second one—including puff stitches—for the legs. Finally, I stuffed the piece and worked 6 decreases over two rows to close it off.

Para la capucha con rosado hice 6 puntos bajos en un anillo y 6 aumentos por tres hileras, hice una hilera con 3 aumentos para obtener 27 y seguí con cinco hileras sin aumentos, hice 6 cadenas y 6 puntos deslizados sobre estas, 4 puntos bajos en la capucha y 6 cadenas dobles, luego para finalizar hice una hileras de puntos bajos con 4 aumentos y uní en el centro del cuello.

For the pink hood, I worked 6 single crochet stitches into a ring and 6 increases over three rounds; I worked one round with 3 increases to reach a total of 27 stitches, followed by five rounds without increases; then I made a chain of 6 and worked 6 slip stitches back along it, followed by 4 single crochet stitches on the hood and a chain of 6; finally, I worked a round of single crochet stitches with 4 increases and joined the ends at the center of the neck.

Para las orejas con rosado hice 8 puntos bajos en un anillo y 5 hileras de puntos bajos, en la última hileras hice 2 disminuciones, hice las dos orejas iguales pero una la cosí doblada.

Para la flor con amarillo hice 5 puntos bajos en un anillo, con blanco hice cada pétalo con 1 punto deslizado , 3 cadenas, 1 punto alto, 2 cadenas y 1 punto deslizados en el mismo lugar que el anterior, hice 5 pétalos iguales y cosí la flor a la cabeza, la nariz y los ojos los hice bordando con la aguja lanera.

For the pink ears, I worked 8 single crochet stitches into a magic ring and then 5 rows of single crochet; in the last row, I made 2 decreases. I made both ears the same way but sewed one on folded over.

For the yellow flower, I worked 5 single crochet stitches into a magic ring. Using white yarn, I created each petal by working a slip stitch, 3 chains, a double crochet, 2 chains, and a slip stitch into the same spot as the previous stitch. I made 5 identical petals and sewed the flower to the head; I embroidered the nose and eyes using a tapestry needle.
