Saludos querida comunidad, como les he venido contando en mis post, una cliente y amiga me encargó la versión amigurumi de sus cinco gatos, por supuesto que se los fui haciendo poco a poco pero no me había dado cuenta que el primero de estos no lo había compartido con ustedes, este es muy especial porque fue con el que inició todo este recorrido y fue precisamente este el que motivo aún más a la cliente a hacer sus encargos, por supuesto que cada uno lo hice con el mismo amor pero este se ganó un lugar especial 😊

Greetings, dear community! As I’ve mentioned in my posts, a client and friend commissioned me to make amigurumi versions of her five cats. Of course, I worked on them little by little, but I realized I hadn't actually shared the first one with you. This one is very special because it started the whole journey, and it was precisely this cat that further motivated the client to place her orders. Naturally, I made each one with the same love, but this one holds a special place in my heart. 😊

Proceso / Process

Ella me envió fotos del gatito y se veía completamente blanco, pero luego me envió otras donde se veía con mas claridad que en efecto no era completamente blanco, tiene una pequeñas rayas de amarillo muy claro en la cara y en la cola, ella fue muy insistente en que debía hacerlo con ese detalle y tenía toda la razón, pues muchas gatos tiene el pelaje casi igual pero tienen cada uno pequeños rasgos distintivos que lo hacen único por lo que no se podría obviar esto tan importante, por eso hice el amigurumi completamente con lana acrílica de color blanco y ganchillo de 3.5mm pero al final le bordé las rayitas con hilo acrílico amarillo claro.

She sent me photos of the kitten, and it looked completely white; however, she later sent others that clearly showed it wasn't entirely white—it had faint, very pale yellow stripes on its face and tail. She was very insistent that I include that detail, and she was absolutely right; many cats have similar coats, yet each has small, distinctive features that make it unique, so such an important detail couldn't be overlooked. That’s why I made the amigurumi entirely out of white acrylic yarn using a 3.5mm hook, but ultimately embroidered the small stripes using pale yellow acrylic thread.

Comencé con la cabeza haciendo 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, 6 aumentos por tres hileras, 6 hileras sin aumentos, 6 disminuciones por dos hileras, hice el cuello con 12 puntos bajos. Para el cuerpo hice 12 aumentos, luego 6 aumentos solo en la mitad de atrás, hice 30 puntos bajos, en la hilera siguiente hice los agujeros para las patas delanteras haciendo 2 cadenas y saltando 4 puntadas, hice 28 puntos bajos por tres hileras, 2 disminuciones en la siguiente y luego 8 disminuciones por dos hileras para cerrar.

I started with the head by making 6 single crochet stitches in a ring, followed by 6 increases over three rounds, 6 rounds without increases, and 6 decreases over two rounds; then I made the neck with 12 single crochet stitches. For the body, I made 12 increases, then 6 increases only in the back half, followed by 30 single crochet stitches; in the next round, I created the holes for the front legs by making 2 chains and skipping 4 stitches, worked 28 single crochet stitches for three rounds, made 2 decreases in the next round, and finally 8 decreases over two rounds to close it off.

Para las patas delanteras hice 6 puntos bajos por cuatro hileras, en la quinta hice 3 aumentos dobles en la sexta 3 disminuciones dobles, rellené y cerré con la aguja lanera. Para las patas traseras hice 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, en la primera hilera 3 aumentos dobles y en la segunda 3 disminuciones dobles, luego seguí con 6 puntos bajos por 5 hileras, rellené y cerré. Para las orejas hice 4 puntos bajos en un anillo y una hilera con 2 aumentos. Para la cola hice un anillo de 6 puntos bajos y continué por 11 hileras.

For the front legs, I worked 6 single crochet stitches for four rows; in the fifth row, I made 3 double increases, and in the sixth, 3 double decreases; then I stuffed them and closed the opening using a yarn needle. For the back legs, I started with a magic ring of 6 single crochet stitches; in the first row, I made 3 double increases, and in the second, 3 double decreases; then I continued with 6 single crochet stitches for 5 rows, stuffed them, and closed the opening. For the ears, I made a magic ring of 4 single crochet stitches followed by a row with 2 increases. For the tail, I made a magic ring of 6 single crochet stitches and continued for 11 rows.
