Hello, hello my dear readers folks! I hope you're all doing well! I wanted to tell you that I recently visited a bookstore near my house and it really caught my attention called "Saint Paul Bookstore"...because even though it's a religious bookstore, I found some non-religious books! It turned out to be an interesting visit, and here's what I found!
Hola, hola mis queridos amigos lectores! Espero estén muy bien! Les cuento que en estos días estuve visitando una librería cercana a mi casa y me llamó mucho la atención llamada "Librería San Pablo"...ya que a pesar de ser una librería religiosa, conseguí libros que no lo son! Por lo que terminó siendo una visita interesante, aquí te muestro lo que conseguí!
Upon entering, the first books that caught my eye, because I wouldn't expect to find them in this type of bookstore, were the Harry Potter books! Well... it's not a very appealing theme for some religious people 😅 However, they have some very beautiful editions which, although not too expensive, I'll have to buy little by little. I love their covers! My favorite was the Half-Blood Prince, so that will be the first one I buy 😁i
Al entrar los primeros libros que llamaron mi atención, ya que no pensaría conseguir en este tipo de librerías son los de: Harry Potter! ya que...bueno, no es una temática muy agradable para algunos religiosos 😅 sin embargo, tienen unas ediciones muy bonitas las cuales aunque no están tan costosas tendré que ir comprando poco a poco, me encantan sus portadas! Mi favorito fue el de El Misterio del Príncipe, así que será el primero que compre 😁.
Other books I got are from the "Howl's Moving Castle" trilogy by Diana Wynne Jones, which I'd been looking for for ages and couldn't resist buying, haha 😜 Honestly, they're other books I didn't expect to find here because they're not exactly religious books, but they're really good, I recommend them, haha. The books in the top row also caught my eye, as their covers make them look like they're from Wattpad, but I think if I had to choose one, it would be "The Love We Left Behind" by Rebecca Yarros, which... would be a great help hahaha 🤪.
Otros libros que conseguí son los de la trilogía de "El Castillo Ambulante" de Diana Wynne Jones la cual tenía largo rato buscando y no me resistí a comprar jajaja 😜 Sinceramente son otros libros que no imaginé encontrar aquí porque tampoco son libros muy religiosos que se diga pero, son buenísimos, los recomiendo jajaja. También me llamaron la atención los libros de la hilera de arriba, ya que por sus portadas parecen sacados de Wattpad pero creo que sí escogería uno es el de "El Amor que Dejamos Atrás" de Rebecca Yarros el cual... sería de gran ayuda jajaja 🤪.
To my surprise, there were Wattpad books! Like "All the Places We Kept Secret" by Inma Rubiales, which I really like! There were also other quite interesting books I saw whose authors I don't know, but the covers caught my eye. I also saw another book I hope to buy, which is related to Disney's "Descendants" saga, and next to it was "I'll Wait for You at the End of the World" by Andrea Longarela, which caught my attention, as did "When There Are No More Stars to Count" by María Martínez. I'm surprised they sell these kinds of books, which, well, can be a little risqué, haha 😅.
Para mayor sorpresa, habían libros de Wattpad! Como por ejemplo "Todos Los lugares que Mantuvimos en Secreto" de Inma Rubiales el cual me gusta mucho! También hay otros libros bastante interesante que ví cuyas autoras no conozco pero me llaman la atención las portadas, también ví otro libro que espero comprarme, que tiene que ver con la saga de "Descendientes" de Disney, y al lado de este estaba "Te Espero en el Fin del Mundo" de Andrea Longarela que me llama la atención al igual que "Cuando no Queden más Estrellas que Contar" de María Martínez. Me llama la atención que vendan este tipo de libros que bueeeeeno, pueden llegar a ser un poco subidos de tono jajaja 😅.
I also loved seeing a large number of children's books, most of which are well-known stories in hardcover editions with beautiful illustrations that reminded me of the books by my favorite illustrator, Benjamin Lacombe, haha. Several caught my eye, like "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Beauty and the Beast," among others. But the one I liked the most, and also want to buy, is "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott, which is a gorgeous edition... I hope to get it soon! 😍.
También me encantó ver una gran cantidad de libros infantiles, los cuales la mayoría son cuentos conocidos en ediciones con tapa dura con ilustraciones muy lindas los cuales me hicieron recordar a los libros de mi ilustrador favorito Benjamín Lacombe jajaja y varios llamaron mi atención como "Cenicienta", "La Bella Durmiente", "La Bella y la Bestia" entre otros, pero el que más me gustó y también me quiero comprar es el de "Mujercitas" de Louisa May Alcott el cual es una edición preciosa...espero ir pronto por él! 😍.
As you can see, for a religious bookstore, it has many interesting things, so it's worth a visit. There are some things I want to buy because, compared to other bookstores, its prices are a bit more affordable. I really enjoyed this visit and it was a pleasure to share it with you! 😁
Como ven, para ser una librería religiosa tiene muchas cosas interesantes por lo que vale la pena visitarla y hay cosas que quiero comprar ya que, en comparación a otras librerías tiene precios un poco más accesibles. Disfruté mucho esta visita y fue un placer compartirla con ustedes! 😁.
