September ended less than three weeks ago, and yet it feels like a long time has passed. I suppose this feeling that time is flying by is due to the number of complex events that have taken place in the streets of this town recently. And I'm not talking about things that involve scandals, squabbles, or notorious outbursts, no... The truth is, I'm talking about everyday life, which here is usually accompanied by a lot of situations that, for someone who doesn't live in Venezuela, would surely seem like something out of a dystopian novel by George Orwell... For example, today I got home at 5:30 PM after working in a nearby town, and here in my town we were without electricity and without any internet service, so I had to wait until 9:30 PM to "have a little bit of normalcy" and do some pending things at home, things which, of course, depended on these services... So, all this, repeated day after day, ends up affecting the psyche of those of us who have already been subjected to this multitude of complications for decades in a very complex way... And well, I don't like to harp on about the same thing, but it's difficult to detach oneself from or isolate oneself from the impact this causes... And yet, this catharsis of mine Being able to sit down at my PC whenever time allows is truly valuable, because photography has been my daily therapy for so long that I'm even struggling to find the words to describe what it does for me... But anyway, let's move on and please appreciate these street photos from last September, which, as I said before, already seems so long ago...
Thank you very much for your visit and appreciation!
¡Muchas gracias por pasar y apreciar!
