This microfiction story is for the prompt "going through the archway". It reminds me of walking through intricately-designed structures of historical value. The structure may not look like it contains any item of value from the exterior. However, once you enter, you may discover treasures you've never imagined. Therefore, first looks may be deceptive. Below is my story.
Going through the archway, low-hanging decaying vines lined the cathedral's facade.
Disappointed by the dilapidated structure, Shirlean grimaced. Not as expected from the advertised exploration brochure.
Nevertheless, she stepped inside.
Suddenly, she spotted magnificent preserved murals lining walls and ceilings.
Mesmerized by the unexpected beauty, she jerked a sharp breath.

Puede que, desde fuera, la estructura no parezca contener ningún objeto de valor. Sin embargo, una vez dentro, es posible que descubras tesoros que nunca habías imaginado. Al atravesar el arco, unas enredaderas podridas que colgaban a ras de suelo bordeaban la fachada de la catedral.
Decepcionada por el estado ruinoso del edificio, Shirlean hizo una mueca. No era lo que esperaba según el folleto turístico.
No obstante, entró.
De repente, divisó unos magníficos murales muy bien conservados que cubrían las paredes y los techos.
Hipnotizada por aquella belleza inesperada, contuvo el aliento bruscamente.
