Hello, my friends. What a pleasure to greet you again and return to this community. I hope you’re all having a great day.
Today I want to tell you about a little couple that’s giving people something to talk about in the neighborhood. No, they’re not two gossipy neighbors or anything like that. I’m talking about Yina and Yanco, two dogs that are the attraction of the block. And it’s because these two aren’t just any dogs. They’re like canine royalty, and they live next door to my house.
Yina is the female, a dog who already has experience with motherhood. She has given birth three times. Every time she has her pups, it’s an event. Dog lovers long to take a puppy home, even though they sell at a very good price for the sellers. And it’s because those pups turn out with a quality many people would envy. People pay whatever it takes to have them. So just imagine, these two are like a money-printing factory, but with paws and a tail.
Yanco, the male, is an exemplary father. He doesn’t fall behind. When Yina has her pups, Yanco is there, watching over everything. He plays with the little ones, takes care of them, licks them. It’s a lovely thing to see. They make an incredible couple. They spend the day playing, running around the yard, biting each other’s ears affectionately. And when the puppies arrive, the two of them take care of them as if they were gold. No one can get near the pups without Yanco going on guard. He’s a jealous father, but with good reason.
Now, what I will tell you is that these dogs live better than I do. And that’s no exaggeration. They eat better than many Cubans, including me. While one sometimes eats a piece of bread and goes to bed with a tight stomach, Yina and Yanco get their good plates of special food. The owners spare no expense. They buy them good-quality kibble, give them chicken, sometimes even meat. Meat! And it’s not that one is paying attention to what the dogs eat, but when I see them with those steaming plates, my mouth waters 🤭.
The owners take very good care of them, and no wonder. These dogs are their pride. They bathe them, brush them, take them to the vet every time they sneeze. They have their little beds, their toys, their collars. I don’t know if the dogs are very fancy or the owners are a little crazy about them. But oh well, to each their own.
And it’s that Yina and Yanco have earned that affection. They’re faithful, playful, caring dogs, good parents. From time to time they start playing, running, barking at cars and at everyone who passes by, and you have to laugh. They’re part of the neighborhood family. And even though sometimes you see that they eat better than you do, deep down you’re glad they’re well cared for.
All in all, these two dogs are a blessing. They bring joy, they bring puppies, and they even bring a little money to their owners. What more could you ask for? The owners of the house where they live care for them as if they were their children; they’re a young couple with no children yet. And the dogs, grateful, give them their love and their litters.
