Daily Blog - Third reunion and a weekend as tourists in the city of Buenos Aires with my traveling friend. 😃❤️

One of the things I loved about my backpacking days is that now I have several friends scattered all over the map. I haven't seen some of them again, but I still follow their adventures on social media. Others, however, stayed closer or have itineraries that take them back and forth, eventually bringing them back to Buenos Aires. Whenever that happens, I don't hesitate to take a little trip to the city center to visit them and catch up. That's what happened with my friend Noe, with whom I've already reunited three times to keep adding more stories to our collection 😃.

Noe's visit to the city of Buenos Aires coincided with the DJ priest's event, which I had already been planning to attend for a long time. Having her there was a bonus, and without really planning it, we ended up organizing a weekend of sightseeing around the city. To make my stay more comfortable, I booked a room at the hostel where she was staying for the weekend, and we took the opportunity to explore as much as we could. On Saturday afternoon, we walked around some of the city streets since she didn't know them. At night, we went to the DJ's party and stayed until midnight, and the next day, we got up early to go sightseeing around the Recoleta area.

If you're visiting the city of Buenos Aires, the Recoleta neighborhood is one of the places you can't miss. There are several interesting things to see and do, especially on Sundays, because they always hold some kind of event around the Floralis Genérica sculpture. On the day of our visit, a coffee event was taking place, and they were also showing movies outdoors. There aren't many events of this kind near my home, so even though I live 30 km away, every time I go to the city, it feels like I'm traveling a little.

We ended our Sunday by returning to another of the city's most elegant areas: Puerto Madero. This is definitely a place you can't miss if you're a tourist. It's an area with many beautiful buildings and a wide variety of dining options. However, even after meeting Noe two years ago and seeing each other three times, some things haven't changed, including our preference for not spending too much money on food. We could have gone to any restaurant in the area, but the humble fast-food chain option for just $10 never fails.

Time flies when you're having fun, and Monday morning came around very quickly. My friend Noe could continue sightseeing a little longer, but in my case, I had to go to work that afternoon. However, we didn't miss the opportunity to have an Instagram-worthy breakfast at the place right in front of the Obelisk. The Obelisk is the typical icon of the city of Buenos Aires: basically, you haven't been there if you don't have a photo with it. Noe and I had some breakfast and then had our tourist photo session before I headed off to work. We had a great time until the very last minute. It's wonderful to have a traveling friend with whom it feels like time stands still.

Spending an entire weekend sightseeing in the city recharged my energy and helped me get ready to face a new workweek. Making fun plans and having my friend's company was a great combination for spending some incredible days together. The interesting thing about traveling people is that the next reunion will always be a surprise: Noe and I met in Salta, then in Asunción, and now in Buenos Aires. We hope there will be a next time and that it will be in an interesting destination. One thing is for sure: good company will never be missing 😃.
