English Version 🌊🌞
Greetings and blessings, dear Hivers! I’m happy to stop by the community today on this #tbt to share a wonderful memory with you. Talking about these experiences truly nourishes my soul because it transports me back to happy moments spent with my loved ones, reconnecting me with the emotions I felt on that special day; it really proves that the famous saying "to remember is to live" is absolutely true.
I should mention that, even though I live in a city surrounded by beaches, my little boy didn't get to see the ocean until he was nearly eight months old. I went with my parents and other relatives back in 2013. I remember bringing along various toys to keep him entertained in the sand buckets, shovels, small watering cans, and molds shaped like fish and other figures. Once we arrived, the first thing I did was set him down to walk on the sand, but he didn't like the texture at all. He made a face as if the sand touching his tiny feet was making him dirty, and he kept asking to be picked up again.
I took him to the water's edge so the waves could wash over his feet. Although it took him a little while to build up the confidence to feel comfortable touching the ocean, he ended up enjoying it so much that he didn't want to leave haha! Little by little, we ventured further into the water. My son was delighted to float around; he absolutely loved the sea. Afterward, we sat by the shore playing with the toys I’d brought for over an hour, which was the perfect time for me to give him his snack.* *After that initial outing, we continued visiting the beach more often; it has now become a must visit spot for us whenever the season allows. We love it for its crystal clear water, calm waves, and spacious sandy areas, as well as its shaded zones thanks to the many coconut and royal palms planted there, which lend it such a beautiful tropical vibe.
This is my entry for the "One Photo, One Story, One of Those Days" contest hosted by our friend @lanzjoseg, who gives us the chance every Thursday to look back on our most special moments. Before I sign off, I invite those of you reading this to join the contest as well; I’ve included the link below so you can find all the details. See you for the next #tbt.
