Nada mejor que iniciar el mes en contacto con espacios naturales, donde puedas conectarte con la energía del mar, el día de ayer estuve visitando a una amiga que vive cerca de la Avenida Cacique Maraguey, frente a un sector conocido como "Los Coctelitos", y mientras la esperaba no dude en acercarme a la avenida a contemplar el azul infinito del mar que tenemos el privilegio de tener en esta zona de pescadores que acostumbra zarpar bien temprano para ir a la otra costa a buscar mejillones, conchas, tripa de perla, entre otros.

Cómo pueden ver el sol estaba en todo su esplendor, así que mi hijo y yo buscamos refugio en uno de los puestos techados y nos quedamos un rato sentados en los banquitos viendo el mar, tenía tiempo que no venía de mañana, y extrañe trotar por esta vía, pero aún sigo de vacaciones, por lo que me mantedre descansando un par de semanas más, lejos del ejercicio como tal.

Cómo les dije habia quedado en verme con una amiga como a las 10 de la mañana, para buscar unos productos que le había encargado, así que cuando se hizo la hora la llamé y ya había llegado a su apto, así que nos dirigimos para allá, con la satisfacción que nos dejó el rato que estuvimos contemplando la magnífica vista que tenemos frente la avenida " Cacique Maraguey", que es perfecta para relajarnos en medio de tanto bullicio y calor que nos sofoca desde estas últimas semanas hemos sentido producto del fenómeno de super niño que tiene todo el clima alterado.

Si aún no visitas está avenida emblematica de la ciudad de Cumaná, que te lleva directamente al monumento, sitio turístico por excelencia que sirve de mirador, para recrearse grandes, jóvenes y niños, te invito a que lo hagas, no te arrepentirás. Hasta una nueva oportunidad.

There is nothing better than starting the month in touch with nature, connecting with the energy of the sea. Yesterday, I visited a friend who lives near Cacique Maraguey Avenue, across from an area known as "Los Coctelitos." While waiting for her, I couldn't resist walking over to the avenue to gaze at the infinite blue of the sea a privilege we enjoy in this fishing area, where boats usually set sail early in the morning for the opposite coast to harvest mussels, clams, and pearl oysters, among other things.

As you can see, the sun was shining in all its glory, so my son and I sought shelter in one of the covered stalls. We sat on the benches for a while, watching the sea. It had been a long time since I visited in the morning, and I missed jogging along this route; however, I am still on vacation, so I plan to keep resting for a couple more weeks taking a break from actual exercise.

As I mentioned, I had arranged to meet a friend around 10:00 a.m. to pick up some items I had ordered from her. When the time came, I called her and found out she had already arrived at her apartment, so we headed over there. We left feeling satisfied after spending time admiring the magnificent view from Cacique Maraguey Avenue a perfect spot to relax amidst the hustle and bustle and the stifling heat we’ve been experiencing lately due to the "Super El Niño" phenomenon, which has disrupted the weather patterns.

If you haven't yet visited this iconic avenue in the city of Cumaná which leads directly to the monument, a premier tourist attraction and lookout point enjoyed by adults, young people, and children alike I encourage you to do so. You won't regret it. Until next time.
