Inicio con esta canción de Sandro de América, ídolo de una generación. De La Paraulata, de Mafa y de @lisfabian. Pues las rosas invitan al amor, a la creatividad y a muchas otras cositas. ¿A qué mujer? No la enamoran las rojas, cuando la mayoría tienden a ser románticas y allí están implícitas las rosas. De cualquier color y variedad, son sinónimo de amor y pasión. Sobre todo en la voz de Sandro.

Las rosas son mis flores preferidas y me impresionan las azules y amarillas. Cabe destacar que las rosas hechas de telas, con mis manos, son las que más amo porque llevan un poco de mí. Del amor y la pasión que le pongo a todo lo que hago. Sobre todo, mi toque personal. Al principio fue algo difícil porque no pensé que pudiese crear cosas tan lindas. Sin embargo, he descubierto nuevas habilidades y cada una de ellas es un desafío.
La sensación de ver el producto terminado y saber que yo lo hice con mis manos es algo que no tiene precio. Como les he dicho anteriormente, elaborar flores de tela calma mis ansiedades y estrés. He visto un sinnúmero de tutoriales para hacer flores y cada una es más linda que la otra. Lo que falta es dinero para comprar los materiales. ¡Ahí, está el detalle! No se necesitan muchos materiales, pues aquí aparece el versátil pantalón vaquero. Oh la la.
Mi Esposito me tiene miedo y esconde sus vaqueros de mí. Díganme ustedes, amiga de #HiveDiy, para qué se guarda un pantalón descosido, roto y viejo. Si es una prenda de vestir versátil que se puede reutilizar y elaborar lindas manualidades para toda tu familia. Desde que descubrí que con la tela de jeans también se pueden hacer flores, sobre todo rosas. Quedan lindas y tan maravillosas como las de Sandro.

I begin with this song by Sandro de América—an idol to a generation, including La Paraulata, Mafa, and @lisfabian. After all, roses invite love, creativity, and many other lovely things. What woman isn’t won over by red roses? Most women tend to be romantics, and roses are an inherent part of that romance. Of any color or variety, they are synonymous with love and passion—especially when sung by Sandro. “Rosa, give me all your dreams…” Oh, my, oh, my. Roses are my favorite flowers, and I am particularly struck by the blue and yellow ones. It is worth noting that the fabric roses I craft by hand are the ones I love most, because they carry a part of me—the love and passion I pour into everything I do, and above all, my personal touch. At first, it was a bit difficult, as I didn't think I could create such beautiful things. However, I have discovered new skills, and each one presents a new challenge. The feeling of seeing the finished product and knowing I made it with my own hands is priceless. As I’ve mentioned before, making fabric flowers soothes my anxiety and stress. I’ve watched countless tutorials on making flowers, and each one is lovelier than the last. The only thing missing is the money to buy the materials. That’s the tricky part! You don’t actually need many materials, though—and that’s where the versatile pair of jeans comes in. Ooh la la! My husband is afraid of me—he hides his jeans from me. Tell me, #HiveDiy friends: why hold onto a pair of old, torn, unraveled pants? After all, it’s a versatile fabric that can be repurposed to create lovely crafts for the whole family. Ever since I discovered that you can make flowers—especially roses—out of denim, I’ve been hooked. They turn out beautiful and just as wonderful as the ones in Sandro's song. El protagonista del proyecto es el pantalón vaquero, y con el cual hice dos modelos de rosas. Estas son muy fáciles de hacer y no requieren muchos materiales ni tiempo. Tampoco es costoso, pues solo compré dos barras de silicona. Con paciencia y mucho cariño harás unas lindas rosas. No me quedaron perfectas, pero, la perfección solo está en nuestra mente. Lo único que importa es que disfrute y me divertí haciendo mis rosas.

The star of this project is a pair of jeans, which I used to create two styles of roses. They are very easy to make and don't require much time or many materials; it wasn't expensive either, as I only bought two glue sticks. With patience and a lot of love, you can create lovely roses. Mine didn't turn out perfect, but perfection exists only in our minds. All that matters is that I enjoyed myself and had fun making them.

Aunque no lo crean, hacer manualidades es para mí relajante. Sobre todo con música y con mi cafecito cerrero sin azúcar. En esta oportunidad inicié este lindo proyecto disfrutando del cuatro y las maracas de mi amigui La Paraulata, interpretando a Rosa, la de Sandro de las Américas. Believe it or not, doing crafts is relaxing for me—especially with music and a cup of strong, unsweetened black coffee. This time, I started this lovely project while enjoying the cuatro and maracas played by my friend La Paraulata, who was performing "Rosa" by Sandro de las Américas. I’m savoring the song along with my coffee and my friend's roosters. Enjoy the official video for this song—dedicated to all the #Hive ladies of my generation.

Paso a paso / Step by step
Paso 1: Marque con un círculo de foami la tela del jeans. Presione con un alfiler para que no se rodara y corte. Hice diez círculos para los pétalos. |

Step 1: Trace a circle onto the denim fabric using a foam template. Secure it with a pin to keep it from shifting, then cut it out. I made ten circles for the petals.

Primer modelo, rosa abierta
Paso 2: Utilice una taza pequeña para los bordes. Pegue los círculos con silicona caliente, superpuestos unos sobre otros por los extremos. Intercalado el derecho y el revés para darle a la rosa profundidad y suavidad.

Step 2: Use a small cup to shape the edges. Glue the circles together using hot glue, overlapping their ends. Alternate between the right and wrong sides to give the rose depth and softness.

Step 3: Cut out the circles and fold them in half. I glued them—while folded—using hot glue, overlapping them. Use a container with an opening smaller than the cup. Tips: If the opening of the container you use is larger, you will need more petals.

En esta oportunidad le pegué los palitos de árboles, pues dos se colocaron en un florero. Quedaron muy bonitos los dos modelos de rosas: cerrada y abierta.
Tips: Si usted desea, le pega el palito; esto va a depender de cómo va a utilizar las rosas o cualquier flor que haga.

This time, I attached the stems—since two of them were placed in a vase. Both rose styles—closed and open—turned out beautifully.
