In this video, I review the Mechanics of Materials needed to solve Problem 1 of the EM 304 test that Dr. Judy Wood gave her students on February 6, 2003, five days after the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster: strain and thermal expansion, the 2014-T6 aluminum alloy used in the aerospace industry, Young's modulus, the shear modulus and Poisson's ratio.

The Columbia link stopped me. A mechanics test given five days after the disaster, that context makes the numbers feel heavier.
