Seguro recordarán que les había comentado que en las calles de la ciudad hay mucha presencia natural, que con el correr de los años ha ido creciendo y lo que en su momento fueron pequeñas plantas, se ha convertido en grandes árboles con robustos follajes, y esto ha sido advertido por muchas especies de ¨aves¨: que adoptaron las calles como un hogar permanente.
You might recall I mentioned that there is a strong natural presence on the city streets—something that has grown over the years. What were once small plants have turned into large trees with lush foliage, a change that has been noticed by many species of ¨birds¨: that have adopted these streets as their permanent home.

Una de esas ¨especies¨: son estas aves bochincheras y hermosas que son propias de esta parte del mundo, pero que tuvieron la capacidad de desarrollarse en otras partes del mundo; es por eso que quizás ustedes también las conozcan. Lo que me gusta de ellas es que son muy dóciles, incluso con otras que no sean de su especie; entre ellas son muy afectivas, aunque cuando hay comida de por medio es posible que se puedan desconocer, como se aprecia al final del video.
One of those "species": includes these beautiful, boisterous birds native to this part of the world, yet capable of thriving elsewhere—which is likely why you might recognize them, too. What I love about them is how docile they are, even with birds of other species; they are very affectionate with one another, though food can sometimes make them turn on each other, as you can see at the end of the video.
