Hello Hive

A beautiful evening to all my creative friends in the community, I hope that our day was blessed and we were able to achieve all that we have in mind to do today.
I did carry out my work in the farm to the best if my ability and got back home this evening to rest and continue with a little study before bedtime.
What is rest without somehow sneaking to surf the internet, I noticed the beautiful strawberry @bimpcy had made with fabrics and they looks so captivating and perfect for decoration, I never knew that fabric decorations can come out this lovely.
Aside sewing clothes we can actually make beautiful decorations with fabrics.
Today I want to share about the outcome of the beautiful Cultural wear I designed for my friend's wedding.

While I have designed this dress about a month ago, today I finally get to see the traditional wedding pictures and how well she rocked her outfit.
Having shared with us the details of how I made the bodice here, I had a other friend of mine assit me with sizing the dress.
An important aspect of sewing is the fitting, it is not advisable to sew an outfit straight up without trying the fitting on a body form or someone of similar measurements.

After checking the fitting, I continued with the making of the other parts of the dress.
I got a skin tone color nets that is the perfect match for her skin color. This is important when making some outfits designs

The skin tone net used is the reason why it loooked like she was not wearing any sleeves unless you see the hemming of the sleeves where I have attached some sequence lace as part of the design.

The next thing I did on the outfit was the embellishments.
Embellishments can be done with varieties of accessories, from beads to laces, pearls, rhinestones and ribbons. Since we are on a fight budget working on this I decided to try out a simple embellishments techniques..
This involved cutting out pattern designs from the original fabric and using it to decorate another parts of the outfit.

Tracing out laces or sequence design to be used as accessories must be done in a very neat manner.

The next picture shows us exactly how the typical sequence not neatly cut out will look like
Very neat designs and shapes can be used for embroidery.

Tracing the waistline of the outfit I stated filling it up with the neatly cut out sequence, I equally filled up the necklines and shoulder lines to cover up any bralines that may likely show.
This embellishments methods is one of the cheapest in any case you are working on a fight budget.

The beautiful smile on the face of the bride says it all. The event was a colorful one and her appearance was spiced up with beautiful Cultural beads and decorations. I feel so happy and blessed to made my little contribution to the success of the marriage.
