My Way of Loving the World. / [Eng/Esp]

The fall migration of birds from North America to the Caribbean is now in full swing; taking advantage of the ideal weather conditions, they are arriving in Cuba, where they will remain through April and May of next year.

Under these circumstances, I spend much of my time—when I’m not out on the streets taking photos—in the wilderness, searching for migratory and endemic species to photograph.

It’s no easy task; it requires a lot of patience and some preliminary research to find out where they can be spotted.

Once we have them right in front of us, you practically have to be a magician to avoid scaring them away and get them to let you take their picture.

It’s a truly exciting activity; it lets me escape the hustle and bustle of the day and the stress, focusing my attention on the here and now.

That’s why I wanted to share these images so you can get to know the birds that belong to us, too.
