This week’s questions, shared by @merit.ahama, give me a better insight into the things I’d like to do if I had every opportunity to achieve them, as well as what I feel every adult should know for their own wellbeing and personal growth. ¿Qué es algo que crees que un adulto adecuado debería saber hacer con confianza, pero todavía estás averiguando sobre la marcha? ¿Cómo sueles manejarlo cuando surge? ¿Alguna vez te ha llevado a una experiencia divertida, estresante o reveladora?
What is one thing you feel like a proper adult should confidently know how to do, but you’re still figuring it out as you go? How do you usually handle it when it comes up? Has it ever led to a funny, stressful, or eye-opening experience?
Algo que siento que debería cada persona saber manejar y controlar es manejar sus emociones. El ser humano tiene la habilidad de poder sentir distintas emociones dependiendo de la situación en la que se encuentre. Cuando estamos creciendo podemos llegar a ser bastante inmaduros, las emociones van a millón y no pensamos con detenimiento las cosas que decimos o hacemos. Pero luego de adultos ya es nuestra responsabilidad poder decidir que es lo que queremos mejorar y creo que en mi caso me gustaría poder saber controlar mejor mis emociones. Creo que saber cómo enfrentar las situaciones sin reaccionar de manera impulsiva es algo que solo una persona que ha trabajado en su salud mental y personal puede llegar a hacer con conciencia. Si todos reflexionaramos un poco sobre esto creo que seríamos un mundo super desarrollado y nos evitaríamos muchos conflictos innecesarios.
One thing I feel everyone should be able to manage and control is their emotions. Human beings have the ability to feel different emotions depending on the situation they find themselves in. When we’re growing up, we can be quite immature; our emotions run wild and we don’t think carefully about the things we say or do. But as adults, it’s our responsibility to decide what we want to improve, and I think that, in my case, I’d like to be able to control my emotions better. I believe that knowing how to deal with situations without reacting impulsively is something that only someone who has worked on their mental and personal wellbeing can do consciously. If we all gave this a little thought, I think we would be a highly developed world and we would avoid many unnecessary conflicts.
Si tuvieras un sábado en solitario completamente gratis y con un presupuesto ilimitado, ¿cuáles son las tres cosas que definitivamente harías?
If you had a completely free, solo Saturday with an unlimited budget, what are the three things you will definitely do?
Me encanta la música así que creo que me gustaría poder pasar un día de karaoke disfrutando de mis canciones favoritas. Disfruto muchísimo hacerlo todo el tiempo, es algo que me regula y me hace sentir mejor. También me encantaría poder ir a un concierto de forma gratuita, sería genial poder ver a diferentes cantantes en un lugar tipo festival. Me gustaría también tener la oportunidad de vivir un día en algún lugar del mundo, creo que me encantaría estar en Canadá, es un lugar que tiene el clima perfecto y que tiene tantos lugares bonitos que me gustaría conocer, me encantaría poder pasar aunque fuese un día en ese hermoso país. Y por último me gustaría poder comprar cosas que se que podrían ser útiles para mí, por ejemplo una computadora de alta gama, una cámara profesional y poder pasar un día de fotografías en algún lugar bonito del mundo. Son cosas que me encantaría poder hacer o conocer y que espero en algún momento lograr cumplirlo, nunca se sabe cuando la cosas pueden suceder. 🫶🏽☺️
I love music, so I think I’d like to spend a day at karaoke enjoying my favourite songs. I really enjoy doing it all the time; it helps me unwind and makes me feel better. I’d also love to go to a concert for free – it would be brilliant to see different singers at a festival-style venue. I’d also like the chance to spend a day somewhere else in the world; I think I’d love to be in Canada – it’s a place with the perfect climate and so many beautiful spots I’d love to visit. I’d love to spend even just one day in that beautiful country. And finally, I’d love to be able to buy things that I know might be useful to me – for example, a top-of-the-range computer, a professional camera – and spend a day taking photos somewhere beautiful in the world. These are things I’d love to be able to do or experience, and I hope to make them happen one day; you never know when things might happen. 🫶🏽☺️
