Hello, Splinterlands fans. We’re back with more news, rewards, and surprises in this first week of November. We’ve finally reached Chapter 60 of this special serialized series where I share my “adventures” in Splinterlands, a video game I’ve really enjoyed. While I’m not as skilled a player, strategist, or collector as many of you here, I’m very interested in learning, experimenting, and investing in some of the aspects and features this great ecosystem has to offer. Today, I want to share the latest things I’ve done and received so far this week.

A Surprise Jackpot
Let's start by talking about something that's nothing new to those of us who've been playing Splinterlands for a while, especially in the Ranked section, Frontier, where the vast majority of us start out as beginners—myself included. Aside from the rewards you typically receive for completing the famous Frontier Daily Missions—which include Foundation card packs and entries into the Weekly Giveaway, where you can very, very, VERY rarely get a fairly valuable card—you also receive an extra surprise reward, such as a Foundation card from the Arena Vanguard edition. And that’s exactly what happened to me recently when I opened one of these Jackpots with three rewards, including a copy of the well-known Unit called Ratbound Corsair (Tideborn).
Empecemos hablándoles de algo que no es una novedad para los que llevamos tiempo ya jugando en Splinterlands, sobre todo en la sección de Ranked, Frontier donde la gran mayoría inicia como principiante, incluyéndome. Aparte de las recompensas que comúnmente uno recibe al realizar las famosas Misiones Diarias de Frontier, las cuales incluyen sobres de cartas Foundation y entradas para el Sorteo Semanal donde muy, pero MUUUUUY rara vez puedes conseguir una carta bastante valiosa; también recibes una recompensa sorpresa extra como lo puede ser una carta Foundation de la edición Arena Vanguard. Y es exactamente esto lo que me llegó a suceder hace poco al abrir uno de estos Jackpots con tres recompensas, incluyendo una copia de la conocida Unidad llamada Ratbound Corsair (Tideborn).
But as if that weren’t enough, I also received a comment and a surprise gift as a reward for participating last week in Takeru’s latest Writing Contest. This is another one of those famous “Foundation” cards from the Arena Vanguard set—they’re the ones they give out as rewards for participating in these contests they’re holding for the entire Splinterlands community. This card I’m telling you I received as a gift is the well-known Unit card, with a RARE rarity and the Life element, called King Erminaz Twincleaver (Orc), which @king-arminius sent me directly.
Pero no siendo suficiente con esto, también recibí un comentario y un regalo sorpresa como recompensa por haber participado la semana pasada en el último Concurso de Escritura de Takeru. Esta es otra de estas famosas cartas Foundation de edición Arena Vanguard que son lo que reparten como recompensa al participar en estos concursos que están realizando para toda la comunidad de Splinterlands. Esta carta que les estoy diciendo que recibí como regalo es la también conocida Unidad, de rareza RARA y del elemento Vida llamada King Erminaz Twincleaver (Orc), la cual me la envió directamente el mismo @king-arminius.

More Brawls, More MERITS, and SPS
Another thing I’d also like to mention and share with you is the results of the latest Brawl I participated in alongside the usual members of my Guild (Bokura no Digital World). I may not be the best or the most active member of my guild, but at least I’ve been participating lately so I don’t miss out on any of the rewards they usually give out at the end of each Brawl. These rewards are the same as always, yes, but they’re still another source that’s quite useful for me—whether to buy card packs (in the case of MERITS) or put them in savings to earn passive income (in the case of SPS). In this latest Brawl, I only managed 3 Wins and 5 Losses, and I received 123 MERITS and 4.54 SPS as a reward.
Otra cosa que también les quiero comentar y compartir son los resultados del último Brawl en el que he participado junto con los mismos miembros de siempre de la Guild (Bokura no Digital World) en la que soy parte. No seré el mejor o el más activo de mi Guild, pero al menos he estado participando últimamente con el objetivo de no perderme ninguna de las recompensas que suelen dar al final de cada Brawl. Estas recompensas son las mismas de siempre, si, pero igualmente es una fuente más que me sirve bastante para poder comprar sobres de cartas (en el caso de los MERITS) o ponerlos en ahorros para recibir beneficios de forma pasiva (en el caso de los SPS). En esta última Brawl solo he conseguido 3 Victorias y 5 Derrotas, además de recibir como recompensa 123 MERITS y 4.54 SPS.

45th Starter Pack Opening
We’re continuing with our usual opening of Conclave Arcana edition Starter Packs—something we’ve really enjoyed doing for quite some time now in this special section. We’re already at the forty-fifth opening, which is something I feel should be more significant than it ends up being for me personally. As I’ve mentioned before, I have absolutely no complaints about any and all the results I’ve gotten from the cards I’ve drawn so far, and I feel it’s been an excellent investment—especially because it’s thanks to those packs that I’ve been able to bring you so many posts like this one.
Continuamos con la acostumbrada apertura de Sobres Starter de cartas edición Cónclave Arcana que tanto nos gusta hacer desde ya hace tiempo en esta sección especial. Ya nos encontramos en la cuadragésimaquinta apertura, lo cual es algo que siento que debería de ser más significativo de lo que termina siendo personalmente. Como ya les he comentado anteriormente, no me quejo para nada con todos y cada uno de los resultados que he obtenido de las cartas que me han salido hasta ahora y siento que ha sido una excelente inversión, sobre todo porque gracias a dichos sobres es que les he traído tantas publicaciones como ésta.

More Common Cards for “the Quota”
Thanks to the few GLINTS I earned at the end of the previous Splinterlands season, I’ve been able to invest a little in some common cards from the Conclave Arcana set that can be purchased in the Shop>Rewards section. Basically, what I’d been planning ever since the changes to Modern and all that were made is to play enough in that section, earn some GLINTS, and gradually invest them in cards so I can build up my collection, level them up, and use them. However, things didn’t turn out that way, so I have no choice but to buy what I can whenever I can.

Two New Level-Ups
To wrap things up, as is customary in this special section, I’m sharing two new level-ups I’ve done on a couple of cards that I’ve honestly been eager to level up for a while now. It’s funny that I’m saying this, since one of these cards is one of the ones I’ve drawn most often in many Conclave Arcana Starter Pack openings. But since I’ve been focusing more lately on leveling up the cards I have rather than just hoarding them, that’s when I realized this. I still have many more cards I plan to level up, so I hope to reach my goal as soon as possible.
Para finalizar, como ya es costumbre también en esta sección especial, les traigo dos nuevas subidas de nivel que he realizado a un par de cartas que ya tenía ganas de hacerlas subir de nivel, honestamente. Es curioso que diga esto ya que una de estas cartas es de las que más me han salido en muchas aperturas de Sobres Starter de edición Cónclave Arcana. Pero como últimamente me he centrado más en subir de nivel las cartas que tengo que en solo acumularlas ahí, es que me he dado cuenta de esto. Aún me faltan muchas cartas más que pienso subir de nivel, así que espero y logre mi objetivo lo antes posible.
