Hello, fans of great music. This Tuesday, I didn’t think twice about bringing you three specially selected songs from one of the most memorable Rock and Punk bands of my generation. A band that, more than just music, has led an entire movement known as the “Hardcore Revival,” also known as Post-Hardcore. But before I tell you more about this band, I want to remind you that this special section exists thanks to the weekly contest hosted by our colleague @ablaze in the Music community called Three Tunes Tuesday.
The band I’m talking about is none other than My Chemical Romance, a quartet formed in the early 2000s and soon after became popular for their Pop-Punk, Emo, and Post-Hardcore sound. They also went on to have a huge influence on an entire generation thanks to their singles and their melancholic yet powerful lyrics. This is one of several Post-Hardcore bands I came to know during the final stage of my exploration of the Rock genre, between my teenage years and adulthood. They’re one of the most memorable and hard-to-ignore bands because of everything they represent.

Una banda que, más que música, ha liderado todo un movimiento conocido como el “Resurgimiento del Hardcore”, también conocido como Post-Hardcore. Pero antes de seguirles hablando de esta banda, quiero recordarles que esta sección especial existe gracias al concurso semanal que nos trae nuestro compañero @ablaze en la comunidad de Music llamada Three Tunes Tuesday.
La banda de la cual les hablo es nada más ni nada menos que My Chemical Romance, un cuarteto formado a principios de los años 2000 y popularizado poco después por su sonido Pop-Punk, Emo y Post-Hardcore. The song was the last to be released from the album, but it still achieved a level of popularity similar to that of the previous single thanks to its powerful sound and deeply meaningful lyrics.

La canción fue la última en lanzarse del álbum, pero aún así llegó a tener una popularidad similar al sencillo anterior debido a su sonido potente y su letra toda profunda.
La canción sirve como una especie de despedida fúnebre de una persona querida y muy cercana de nuestro interlocutor, el cual nos deja bien claro lo que siente al enterarse de esto en la manera en la que empieza. Helena es una canción que nace del sentimiento de pérdida que tuvieron los miembros de My Chemical Romance con sus familiares fallecidos en aquella época.
