In this post I am sharing a few photos I took on the 1st of July! I was planning to share them right away but things got in the way and I realized a lot of photos I took were blurry but I picked a few that look semi-decent so here they are...

Blackberries are slowly getting a little bit of color so we are expecting them to be ripe soon. They can be quite sour and I they are my least favorite berry to eat fresh but they are good for storing in the freezer and mixing with other berries for cakes! Sometimes when we have plenty, we also make some syrup, it's nice and refreshing for hot summer days. Raspberries are being picked often and there's already some in the freezer.

Nectarines and pears are looking good so far! Fruits can get quite expensive here (I guess it's the same in most countries) when their season starts, it's that first wave when prices are crazy until they slowly go down. In those moments I realize the most how amazing is to have your own fruit trees and be able to go and pick fresh fruits from the garden.

Here's our crazy looking rosemary bush that is growing uncontrollably! I think we'll have to do something about it to tame it down a little bit, lol. On the other side we have some cucumbers and cornichons that are doing good so far. Watering the garden every morning and evening has been mandatory on really hot and sunny days we are having. Sometimes we get a little bit of rain but for the most part it has been a really hot summer so far!
This has been a pretty short update but I hope you liked it anyway! Let me know how's the weather on your side and how it's affecting your gardening season?
