Hello everyone and welcome to another garden update! In this post I am sharing some photos I mostly took in the first part of June so this could be a mid-June update and I am planning to make another post towards the end of the month.

This season was abundant in sweet cherries! Since this is one of my favorite fruits, I really took advantage of the fact we had so many it became my everyday snack. My parents' neighbors had a lot of sour cherries, more than they could use, so they kindly let my parents pick what was left and it was enough for my mom to make some juice and also put a few packs in the freezer.

Same as last year, peas was something we had a lot of and I'm pretty sure that it will last until next season. It's not something we eat that often but it's always nice to cook something with your own homegrown food! I was helping my mom a lot with cleaning the pea pods - it is my favorite garden related task and I wish it could last longer but unfortunately we are done with it for this season.

Blackberries are forming and it seems like yesterday there were just flowers! Time goes by fast and this is the period when there's a lot of changes in the garden in the short period of time, seems like I'm missing some stages and not taking enough photos, lol. Now that the strawberry season is over, we have a lot of raspberries and soon we'll have blackberries and chokeberries.

This is just a bunch of potatoes and we'll try some of these today for lunch at my parent's house! There's nothing better than digging new potatoes from the ground and baking or roasting them!

Here I tried to capture cucumbers but on the left you can see some bell peppers - we had a very short ice storm recently and it made a little bit of damage on peppers and some tomatoes but I am positive everything will recover (fingers crossed). When it comes to cucumbers, my mom always plants some for eating (in the front, the climbing ones) and some cornichons for pickled cucumbers (in the back, under the black foil).

Majority of tomatoes are planted in this area but there's also a few small parts of the garden where the cherry tomatoes are planted and some other kinds. It's kind of a 'plant it where there is free space' thing but it's all good because we eat a lot of tomatoes and a bunch is used to make tomato juice.

Here's some white zucchini, one was already overgrown and the other one was growing. I'll take some of these when I visit my friend as she uses zucchini a lot and every season I like to bring her some together with few other veggies.

The best thing about having a garden is that you can just walk in, pick some fruits that are in season and eat them straight away! My current favorite snack are fresh raspberries, so sweet and refreshing.

Sunshine and nectarines! I am SO looking forward to try these are they are quite new in the garden. This tree is still young and small but compared to the last year, it has a lot more fruits growing. I hope it will taste good, juicy nectarines and peaches are delicious!

Last but not least, these are some tomatoes from one of those smaller areas I mentioned. I took this photo two days ago and I hope that in the next update I'll be able to show you some ripe tomatoes!

That's all for today's post, I hope you enjoyed this update and let me know of you want me to capture something specific, if there's anything you're curious about! There's more fruits and veggies in the garden that I don't always photograph but I'll try to cover most of it as the season goes by.
