Transitando el mes de agosto, cargado de cumpleaños en la familia, y mientras escribo estas líneas, estamos cumpliendo con @zutodoterreno 22 años de casados. No me gusta mucho la palabra casados, porque creo mucho más en la libertad de elección. De ahora en más, voy a decirlo de esta manera: llevamos 22 años eligiéndonos. Somos libres y nadie sabe si esto será para siempre.

Getting through the month of August, packed with birthdays in the family, and as I write these lines, @zutodoterreno and I are marking 22 years of marriage. I'm not big on the word "married," because I believe much more in freedom of choice. From now on, I'm going to say it this way: we've spent 22 years choosing each other. We're free, and nobody knows if this will last forever.

      Todos los años, ella se encarga prácticamente de todo. Desde lo que vamos a comer, qué vamos a tomar, e inclusive de algunos regalitos. Los míos siempre los compro yo de sorpresa. Pero lo de los chicos normalmente ella ayuda a la elección. Pero el día de ayer me sorprendió, con respecto a la comida, que no programó nada. Casi me agarra un paro cardíaco cuando me entero de que no había nada preparado y establecido. Gracias a mi hijo Genaro, que se defiende muy bien en la cocina, sacamos una carne del freezer e hicimos algo desmechado, saborizado con cerveza, para acompañarlo con unos pancitos figazas. Por suerte estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias. Ahora, ¿por qué Zuni no programó nada? Será un gran mensaje para su esposo... Mmmmm, sospecho que sí.

Every year, she takes care of pretty much everything. From what we're going to eat, what we're going to drink, and even some little gifts. Mine, I always buy myself as a surprise. But when it comes to the kids, she usually helps pick them out. But yesterday she surprised me — when it came to the food, she hadn't planned anything. I almost had a heart attack when I found out nothing was prepared or set up. Thanks to my son Genaro, who holds his own really well in the kitchen, we pulled some meat out of the freezer and made something desmechado, flavored with beer, to go with some pancitos figazas. Luckily it rose to the occasion. Now, why didn't Zuni plan anything? Might be a big message for her husband... Mmmmm, I suspect it is.

      Nuestra hija mayor trabaja en Capital y volvió realmente muy tarde. Es por eso que las imágenes no aparecen, pero estuvo un rato con su madre. Nosotros casi nunca tomamos alcohol, y menos Zuni. Es por eso que cuando fuimos a buscar a nuestra hija a la estación de colectivos, mi compañera de vida sale con una copa de champán a la calle, y fue realmente muy divertido. Los vecinos nos miraban y nuestra hija quería que la trague la tierra... Cosas que pasan 😂😂😂

Our oldest daughter works in Capital and got back really late. That's why the pictures aren't showing up, but she did spend a little while with her mom. We almost never drink, and even less Zuni. That's why when we went to pick up our daughter at the bus station, my life partner walks out to the street with a glass of champagne, and it was really funny. The neighbors were staring at us and our daughter wanted the ground to swallow her up... Things happen 😂😂😂

      Seguimos sumando años, sumando kilómetros de entrenamientos, y sumando momentos inolvidables con nuestros hijos, ya que somos conscientes de que no será para toda la vida. Ellos tienen que volar y volver al nido cuando deseen. Pasamos un lindo momento en familia, y sobre todo riéndonos, que tan bien le hace a la salud emocional.

We keep adding years, adding kilometers of training, and adding unforgettable moments with our kids, since we're aware this won't last forever. They have to fly and come back to the nest whenever they want. We had a great time as a family, and above all laughing, which does so much good for emotional health.

      Desde mi blog quería reflejar este momento en familia, decirles que mi casa no está tan ordenada como aparecen en las imágenes. Pero creo que quedan muy bien para una publicación desde Liketu.
