In this new round of #ShowMeAPhoto, @nelinoeva invites us to share a photo of a bird on any topic of our choice.
This time, I’m sharing some photos I took of a very popular bird in my country. It’s not only attractive because of its beautiful colorsits yellow breast and dark brown wings, but also because of its distinctive song.
This bird is known in other parts of the Americas as the Benteveo (Pitangus sulphuratus), but in my country we call it “Cristofue” because when you hear its loud, resonant song, it sounds as if it’s repeating the words “cristofue, cristofue.”

I took these photos in different parts of the city. It’s a bird adapted to living in urban areas, and you can hear it very often at different times of the day.
In this other photograph, the cristofue was perched on the window bars of the building where my daughter lives. It was very calm there, and I was able to take the picture without rushing.
These were two photographs, taken at different times and places, of a very beautiful species of bird.

En esta nueva ronda # de Muestrame una foto, @nelinoeva nos invita a compartir una fotografia de un ave en un tema libre,
En esta oportunidad les traigo unas fotografías que tomé de un ave muy popular en mi país. No solo es atractivo por sus hermosos colores, su pecho amarilllo y sus alas de color marrón oscuro, sino por su canto tan particular.
Este pájaro es conocido en otros lugares de América como Benteveo (Pitangus sulphuratus) , pero en mi país le decimos Cristofue porque al escuchar su canto sonoro y fuerte pareciera que repitiera estas palabras cristofue , cristofue.

Estas fotografías las tomé en diferentes lugares de la ciudad. Es un ave adaptada a vivir en centros urbanos y se le escucha con mucha frecuencia a diferentes horas del día.
En esta foto que es mi favorita el Cristofue estaba muy tranquilo parado en esa pared esperando quizás que dejara de llover. Un chaparrón de agua lo había sorprendido y el cielo estaba todavía nublado. Así que mejor esperar con calma.
En esta otra fotografía, el cristofue estaba parado en la reja de una ventana del edificio donde vive mi hija. Estaba muy tranquilo allí y pude tomarle la fotografía con calma.
Fueron dos fotografías en lugares y tiempos diferentes de una especie de ave muy hermosa.
