Planche Negatives Routine

On this occasion, I went to the bar park in the late afternoon to work through a planche routine.
There was still sunlight left late in the day, but it was clear that the street power had gone out. Even so, this power outage actually made it easier to appreciate the dusk and the setting sun without artificial glare.
Either way, that wasn't an obstacle for my training session, so I got right to work. I performed several planche exercises, focusing especially on negatives. I started gently with a few handstand holds, then moved into a full handstand, bent my knees to enter the half-lay position, and proceeded to execute a slow negative—lowering my body until holding a half-lay planche parallel to the floor. It looks easy on camera, but it is an incredibly demanding strength movement.
Training through a local power outage creates a quiet, focused environment on the bars. Working with natural dusk light highlights the raw simplicity of calisthenics—no equipment or electricity needed, just control and bodyweight tension.
Slow eccentric controls like handstand-to-half-lay negatives build crucial shoulder density and core stabilization required for straddle and full planche holds. I hope these photographs capture the effort and twilight setting of today's session.
I hope you enjoyed these photographs. Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
