A DAY OF EXCHANGE OF DIALOGUES BETWEEN ARTISTS AND SPECTATORS [ENG/ESP]

At the Museum of Fine Arts in the city of Caracas, we have been carrying out several activities to promote the exhibition of the first Regional Salon of Emerging Art in which I am participating with an artistic proposal installations; Among the activities we have carried out we can highlight conversations, drawing workshops, guided tours with the artists participating in the art exhibition. Today I have come to share the dynamics we carried out to activate museum visitors this weekend so they can see the exhibition in which we participate.
En el museo de Bellas Artes de la ciudad de Caracas, hemos estado realizando varias actividades para impulsar la exposición del primer Salón Regional de Arte Emergente en el cual estoy participando con una propuesta artística instalativas; entre las actividades que hemos realizado podemos destacar conversatorios, talleres de dibujo, visitas guiadas con los artistas participantes de la muestra de arte. Hoy he venido a compartir las dinámicas que realizamos para activar a los visitantes del museo este fin de semana y así vean la muestra en donde nosotros participamos.
The day began with a tour of the exhibition hall housing the pieces of the 21 participants in the emerging art salon; but this time it was particularly interesting because a large number of the participants attended, allowing each of us to present our artistic proposals. We had a good audience, including several influential figures in the art world, such as the director of the fine arts museum.
Esta jornada dio inicio con un recorrido por sala expositiva que alberga las piezas de los 21 participantes del salón de arte emergente; pero en esta ocasión fue muy interesante ya que asistimos una gran parte de los participantes y eso permitió que cada uno pudiera exponer sus propuestas artísticas. Teníamos un buen público y entre ellos había varias personalidades influyentes en el medio artístico, como el director del museo de bellas artes.
What's wonderful about this emerging art exhibition is that it showcases contemporary art in 2026, featuring works by young artists. The call for entries had an age limit of 35, allowing artists to apply and providing a space for new artistic expressions to engage with contemporary viewers. This exhibition is both diverse and innovative, presenting installations, ceramic sculptures, collages, paintings, textiles, photography, video art, and a wide range of mixed media pieces.
Lo maravilloso de este salón de arte emergente es que es arte contemporáneo en pleno 2026 y con propuesta de jóvenes artistas, la convocatoria tenía un límite de edad, hasta los 35 años se podía postular, eso permite darle un espacio para que nuevos discursos dialoguen con el espectador contemporáneo. Esta muestra es muy variada y a la vez innovadora ya que se presentaron propuestas de tipo instalativas, escultóricas en cerámica, collage, pintura, tejido, fotografía, video arte y mucha técnica mixta.
The good thing about having so many participants and the positive reception from the public was that it allowed for extended dialogues about the proposals and generated an exchange of ideas during the day; the guided tour lasted until noon, we took a break for lunch and would resume later for the next and final activity of the day.
Lo bueno de que vinieran tantos participantes y esa buena recepción del público, permitió que se extiendan los diálogos sobre las propuestas y se genere un intercambio de ideas en esta jornada; la visita guiada duro hasta el mediodía, hicimos un break para almorzar y retomaríamos más tarde para la siguiente y última actividad del día.
One of my fellow participants in the emerging art salon proposed a very interesting activity. She invited her grandmother, an anthropologist with extensive field experience, to give a talk about her work with Indigenous communities and her involvement with weaving and natural fibers. This conversation sparked my curiosity because I'm currently also exploring weaving with natural fibers, and it seemed like a good opportunity to meet the anthropologist and see what I could learn.
Una de mis compañeras participante del salón de arte emergente, propuso una actividad muy interesante, invito a su abuela que es una antropóloga con mucha experiencia de campo, para que diera una conferencia sobre su trayectoria trabajando con comunidades indígenas y se involucró con el tejido y las fibras naturales. este conversatorio me causo mucha curiosidad, porque actualmente también estoy adentrándome con el tejido de fibras naturales y me parecía apropiado conocer a la antropóloga y ver que podía aprender en la ocasión.
I truly fell in love with ART; it fulfills me, it makes me happy, and since I decided to dedicate myself to this process, my life has improved immensely. Today, being one of the 21 emerging artists selected to exhibit their work at the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas, Venezuela, is a huge step for me and the result of my commitment to my happiness. De verdad que me enamore del ARTE, me llena, me hace feliz, y desde que decidí dedicarme a vivir este proceso mi vida a mejorado muchísimo y hoy poder ser parde de uno de los 21 artistas emergentes que quedaron seleccionados para exponer sus propuestas en el museo de Bellas Artes de la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela, esto es un gran paso para mí y el resultado de mi compromiso con mi felicidad, Espero que les haya gustado esta experiencia, pronto se viene el cierre de la expo, buenas vibras.
