🇵🇱 Wreszcie krok w dobrą stronę🔥💪 / 🇬🇧 Finally a Step in the Right Direction 💪🔥: October 14 2026

🇬🇧 A day that finally felt like a return to normal

After the last few weeks of illness, Achilles issues and problems with my right calf, I finally had a day when several things started falling into place at the same time. A calm running test in the morning, a regular PUSH workout in the afternoon, and finally some better recovery signals in my Garmin data. No pushing for performance and no unnecessary risks, but for the first time in a while it felt like my body was starting to work normally again.

🇵🇱 Pierwszy przymrozek i wreszcie lepsza regeneracja

Średnia ocena snu z ostatnich siedmiu dni to 82, a średnie nocne tętno 46 bpm. Teraz wreszcie zaczyna wracać do normalnego zakresu.

🇬🇧 First frost and finally better recovery

The morning started with a small reminder that autumn is slowly coming to an end — for the first time this season I had to scrape frost off the car windows before heading to the gym. On the other hand, my sleep has been looking much better lately. My average sleep score over the last seven days is 82, with an average nighttime heart rate of 46 bpm. Interestingly, HRV needed much more time than my general wellbeing to recover after the illness. For several days I already felt fine, while HRV was still showing that my body had not fully caught up. Now it is finally starting to return to its normal range.

🇬🇧 Morning running test – 30 minutes, very easy

In the morning I did another controlled treadmill test: 5 minutes of walking, 20 minutes of easy jogging and another 5 minutes of walking at the end. The whole session came to 3.90 km in 30 minutes, with an average pace of 7:41/km and an average heart rate of 135 bpm. I rated the effort at only 3/10, because pace was completely irrelevant here — the goal was simply to see how the problematic areas would react.

And this brought the best news of the day. The Achilles was practically trouble-free. My right calf only started to make itself noticeable after around 17 minutes of jogging, and even then it was mild — most importantly, it did not get progressively worse. Once I switched back to walking at the end, everything settled down quickly. I still treat this purely as a test, but compared with the previous attempts, the difference is clear.

🇵🇱 Po południu PUSH

Kilka godzin później wróciłem na siłownię na normalny trening PUSH. Na początek 10 minut orbitreka już typowo aerobowo — średnie tętno 138 bpm, maksymalne 149 i efekt aerobowy 2.1. Co ważne, łydka ponownie nie sprawiała problemu.

Później klatka, barki i triceps.

🇬🇧 PUSH workout in the afternoon

A few hours later I was back at the gym for a regular PUSH session. I started with 10 minutes on the elliptical at a proper aerobic effort — average heart rate 138 bpm, maximum 149 and an aerobic training effect of 2.1. Most importantly, the calf once again caused no problems.

Then came chest, shoulders and triceps. The chest press went up to 50 kg, pec deck to 43 kg, shoulder press at 18 kg, lateral raises also at 18 kg, followed by triceps extensions, assisted dips and abs. In total: 22 sets, 248 reps and 5,918 kg of training volume in just over 32 minutes. It was not a day for chasing records, but after the morning running test I was simply happy to be able to complete a full upper-body session without having to work around another issue.

🇬🇧 The numbers were not the most important part

What pleased me most was not the distance, pace or training volume, but the fact that my body started sending better signals in several areas at once. Sleep looks more stable, HRV is finally reflecting the improvement, the Achilles was practically silent, and the calf handled 20 minutes of easy jogging without the discomfort getting worse. I am still a long way from normal running and I have no intention of rushing it, but after several difficult weeks, this was definitely a day worth noting.
