Hey guys how is your splinterlands matches been going? Today I am bringing another Modern ranked battle strategy. This time I had a 30 mana battle and I decided to try something a little different. The battle lasted for 7 rounds and I was happy to get another win.
Match details
Mana: 30 Elements: fire, water, earth, life, death, dragon Ruleset: Standard Modifier: None
This time I decided to go with my Barthalamus summoner. I was looking at the available mana and I thought this could be a good battle to use some strong cards instead of filling all the positions.
My enemy was Aldris and I was curious to see what kind of lineup he was going to use. There were some strong cards on his side and I knew I had to make my positioning carefully.
I have been trying to use different cards recently because I don't want to keep using the same strategy every time. Sometimes a small lineup can also work very well if the cards are strong enough.
My lineup:
- Summoner Barthalamus
- First position: Jolius Blast
- Second position: Great Bear Druid
How the Battle Went
The enemy's name was ALDRIS. The battle has started and both of us summoned our teams into the arena.
From the beginning I could see my enemy had a pretty interesting lineup. He had some cards with good health and damage and I knew this was not going to be an easy battle.
I decided to keep Julius Blast in the first position. He had good health and strong damage so I thought he could handle the pressure from the enemy. Behind him I placed Great Bear Druid who could support the battle and also deal damage.
The summoner I used was Barthalamus and one of the things I liked about this choice was the extra speed. All friendly units get +1 Speed and I thought this could help my cards attack before the enemy.
Jolius Blast was also able to do a lot of work during the battle. He has strong damage and with the Void ability he can reduce the damage from magic attacks. This was something I was happy to see because I always like when my cards can survive longer against different types of attacks.
Great Bear Druid was supporting from the back. He was helping with the damage while also staying alive for a good amount of the battle.
The first few rounds were pretty interesting because both teams were taking damage. I was watching Julius Blast carefully because if he went down too early then Great Bear Druid would have to take all the pressure.
As the battle continued my team started to get more control of the fight. Julius Blast was able to keep attacking and Great Bear Druid was also helping from behind.
I was actually a little worried in the middle of the battle because some of the enemy cards were still standing. But slowly my lineup started to get the advantage.
The extra speed from Barthalamus was also useful because going first can make a big difference in these battles. Sometimes one attack can change the whole battle.
The battle finally ended after 7 rounds and I got another victory. My rating increased by 20 and I gained 81 glint.
My rating is now 220 and previously it was 200.
So I am still continuing my winning run. I am really happy with how things are going right now and I want to keep trying different cards instead of using the same lineup every time.
This was also an interesting battle because I only used two monster cards. I was a little unsure about this lineup before the battle started but it worked better than I expected.
Looking Ahead
Another fun Modern ranked battle and this one was a little different because I decided to use only two monster cards.
Now my rating is 220 and I am happy with the progress. I want to continue playing carefully and hopefully keep this winning run going. I also want to keep experimenting with different cards and different positions.
