Hey guys how is your splinterlands matches been going? Today I am bringing another Modern ranked battle strategy. This one was a small mana battle. It was up for 9 rounds and I was happy to get another win.
Match details
Mana: 29 Elements: fire, water, earth, life, death, dragon Ruleset: Standard Modifier: None
This time I decided to go with my Thalgrimore summoner. I was looking at the available mana and I thought this could be a good battle to test this lineup.
My enemy was Thaldris and I was eager to find out the strategy he was going to use. There were some strong cards on his side and I knew I had to make my positioning carefully.
I thought if I keep using fire element I wouldn'tbe able to learn to play with other cards. That is why I keep switching from one to another. Which I think isn't a bad thing. I'm just trying to figure out some new strategies.
My lineup:
Summoner Thalgrimore 1st position: Nim Guard Captain 2nd position: Spellmonger 3rd position: Sorrow Harvester 4th position: Kanaaq Miner
How the Battle Went
The enemy's name was THALDRIS. The battle has started and both of us summoned our teams into the arena.
From the beginning I could see my enemy had some very strong looking cards. His team was not something I wanted to underestimate. I was mostly watching my front line because I knew Nim Guard Captain had to survive as long as possible.
Nim Guard Captain was standing in the first position and taking most of the pressure. Behind him Spellmonger and Sorrow Harvester were doing their jobs while Kanaaq Miner was also helping from the backline.
The first few rounds were pretty interesting because both teams were taking damage but nobody was going down immediately. I was actually a little worried. because my opponent had some cards with good health and damage.
As the battle continued my team started to get more control of the fight. Nim Guard Captain was still holding the front line and this was really important for me. If he went down too early then my other cards would have to face the enemy attacks directly.
I was also happy with how the backline was performing. Spellmonger and Sorrow Harvester were slowly helping to reduce the enemy team while Kanaaq Miner was also doing its part.
In the later rounds the enemy cards started to disappear one by one. At this point I wasn't feeling much confident about the win because my precious cards got eliminated in the battle and was still standing tall but I could already see my team had the advantage.
It was a greT battle because it last long enough despite low mana. This time both teams had to struggle for it and it went all the way to 9 rounds.
Honestly I enjoyed this one because I could see how my lineup was working slowly. My front line was able to keep the pressure away from my other cards and that gave them enough time to deal damage.
Finally the battle ended and I got another victory. My rating increased by 20 and I gained 81 glint. My rating is now 200 and previously it was 180.
So I am still continuing my winning run. I wish to play less matches to keep my winning streak better. And I hope it won't stop me from using different cards and positioning them differently.
Looking Ahead
Another fun Modern ranked battle and this one was a little different from my previous battle because it lasted much longer. I really liked how my lineup performed and especially how the front line was able to hold for so many rounds.
I am still trying to understand all the cards and their abilities perfectly. Sometimes I make a lineup and during the battle I realize that I could have placed someone in a different position . I love this game and I'm still geubdi Now my rating is 200 and I am happy with the progress. I want to continue playing carefully and hopefully keep this winning run going. Let's see how far I can take it. Thanks for reading my battle report everyone.
