Hey guys how is your splinterlands matches been going? It's going to be a short mana battle recap today. I will be showing you my strategy for small mana. It ended really fast and it was fruitful.

Mana: 32 Elements: fire, water, earth, life, death,dragon Ruleset: Standard Modifier: None

I am back to my favourite fire element. My opponent was using a summoner which I am not very familiar with.

I choose Barthalamas as my summoner. Why I choose him? Because I think he is a good choice for small mana battles. Also he gives +1 Speed to all my units at the start of the battle. And I want to test Jolius Blast. My intentions were very clear and I know what I wanted to see.

Summoner Barthalamas 1st position: Jolius Blast 2nd position: New Beluroc Aegis 3rd position: Ash Archer

How the Battle Went

My enemy's name was ALDRIS. The battle has started and we both summoned our teams into the arena.

In the beginning when the first initiative went to my summoner Barthalamas gave +1 Speed ability to all my units. The extra speed power was super helpful as it allowed my team to attack faster straight through enemy defenses.

On the front line Jolius Blast was making the enemy struggle. While New Beluroc Aegis supported from second position using Taunt. Actually I don't know how Aegis was not attacking and taking hits only. There are still so many things I don't know about the cards.

In a while I saw my cards were losing HP but they were standing still. The battle was back and forth and it felt like I have more advantage because of the high HP.

In the later rounds of the battle my enemy’s cards started to vanish one by one and I was not surprised at all becauee I already sW this coming. My Ash Archer was also dealing great damage from the backline while Jolius Blast held the front line strong.

Honestly the match was intense but too short. I wish it could last a bit longer. But my powerful team was too much to handle for my enemy. And that explains why I won the battle.

The battle ended in 5 rounds and I gained 20 ratings with 81 glint and my whole rating is now 180 and previously it was 160. I don't think I should break my winning rows that is why I'm playing less matches to keep the win rate stable.

Looking Ahead

Another fun Modern ranked battle. I am kind of fond with Jolius card. I think it's ability and HP attracts me the most. Other than that I loved every bit of the fight. I think want to continue to test Jolius card in every small mana battle to see how could it can perfom. I have lost battles with it too but it was because my lineup positioning was wrong. If you don't understand how to place them perfectly then you will eventually lose even when you have good cards. I am trying to improve my strategy so let's see.
