We had an unexpected visitor this morning, but Mommy D had to take care of something and the visitor want her, its not planned actually, that sudden errand of Mommy D. Someone called her from BFP so she had to go there after the call. Minutes later after she left, Auntie V arrived with a heavy eco bag in her hands. We just talked for a bit and she even shared about the mischiefs of her baby pets, haha. She actually didn't stay long. She just drop the bag full of Saging na Saba then left to go to the market. My heart go thump, thump with excitement after seeing lots of bananas. UwU

They're a combination of unripe and ripe bananas. Seeing the ripe ones, I knew immediately that we'll have Bananas as our snack today ♪ \(^ω^\ ). But although i'm excited for the bananas, I am more excited for lunch today coz I am planning to cook fried rice with lots of garlic. I also bought vegetable dish with coconut milk in a nearby restaurant so that made me more excited. No photos though, I forgot to take photos you see haha.

Anyways, Mommy D arrived after 15 minutes. And then she immediately handed me the ripe bananas, at first she wants them boiled but change her mind later own. She wants it fried, the proceed giving me the glutinous rice flour, there's not much of it actually, good thing I still have flour in my snack jar. There's really not much of it too..but its okay, this'll work. So I cut the bananas into bite sized. I'm thinking of making Maruya. The usual Maruya that I know and was sold in a sidewalk.

I then prepared the wet batter for Maruya, just a combination of glutinous rice flour and regular flour. I just put a pinch of salt and hald tablespoon of brown sugar. The bananas are already sweet so we don't need much sugar in it.

After mixing everything for the wet batter, I poured it in here and mix them well. I leave them for like 30 minutes there to have our lunch. Seriously, this can wait, but I want my rice! Lol

Its frying time! I used this stainless sandok to scoop a good amount of maruya mixture. And make aure that the oil and pan is hot so that it won't stick to the pan and create a mess.

We'll just form a shape while dropping it into the hot oil and baam! Nice, nice, really, really nice ( /^ω^)/♪♪. And I really think, leaving it for like 30 minutes helps a lot coz look how they easily stick togetehr despite having to use small amount of flour. The bananas also has a bigger cut but will still able to hold them together. Nicey, nicey!

And its really important that they're like swimming in oil so that we can cook them more nicely. Just look at that, nice and crispy!

We just had our lunch but we had them right after frying some haha. I mean, they look really crispy so who won't be tempted by it? The sweetness? Its just right? I also love that I can taste a lil saltiness in it though not much.
And so, this was also like an after meal dessert. This is like the sidewalk style maruya that I often buy here in our place. The bananas was cut into square then coated them with wet batter. Its sweet and crispy which become Filipinos favorite Merienda alongside Banana Cue, Camote Cue, and Turon.
