Some anime this Summer season is about to end or already ended so I started to check on them to download some in my phone. Some anime that caught my attention are Black Torch, The Ogre's Bride, The Villager of Level 999, and Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It) -the last one really has long title wth, haha. But yes, I downloaded a total of 4 anime series. I already started them but The Ogre's Bride is just so interesting so even if I'm kinda tired of a romance series, I watched it first, and yes, I like it.
I just finished its latest episode, not sure when will they release the final episode. I'm just waiting for that tbh. Now, I find this series interesting coz of the concept of demons finding their brides through the humans. Though they are demons, but they have a face of a real human, and a beautiful ones. No horns or whatever. Demons coexist with humans and to be chosen as their bride is a great honor. Imagine your whole family will receive help from the demon, from financial to everything the brides wants.
And thats why lots of people wants to be a bride. Now, here comes Yuzu who has sister as a "bride." Coz of that she was often overlooked by her parents. To them, Karin is more important as she become like the one who support all of them from the help of the demon clan. It made me made that Karin will not turn that way too if not for the influence of their own parent. And then the time comes that Yuzu had enough and decided to run away from home. And that's when Reiya, who called her "his bride" appeared.
In finding the bride of a demon, its nothing fancy, no ritual or whatever. It will just come to them, they will feel it in their heart. They will know immediately that she's the "bride" they been looking. And that's what happened to Reiya, an ogres demon which is also the highest in the demon society. The concepts really is interesting and that's why I'm drawn into it. Reiya found his "bride" while the girl is in her lowest. The time Yuzu really need someone who can make her feel love. I think she's really on her limit then.
Seriously, I find the girl weak but then, I also understand her. I understand it more as the series progressed. And though I got annoyed to the villains here which is her own family, thanks to the sweet and beautiful moments between Reiya and Yuzu, I got over it immediately. And now I am just waiting for episode 12. Also, I love that when a demon find their bride, they go all out when making their bride feel their love. They showed it through action too. I want love like this, no actually, I want Reiya (＾∇＾)ﾉ♪
But on serious note, I really feel bad for Yuzu. They also showed a lil bit of wgat she experienced during her childhood. Being left behind home with only leftovers, no one's taking care of her when she git sick, and she was never really treated as a family member. I super hate ger family! They are so materialistic and just so annoying. Abd they even have the audacity to call Yuzu "selfish." Hahhh! The nerve! I am really happy that Yuzu become a bride and even though it is sudden and it happened when she is most vulnerable, maybe it is also the effect of when she become a bride, she also feel the same way as Reiya. All I really want is for Yuzu's happiness coz she deserve it all ( ◜‿◝ )♡
But anyways, I'll rate this anime a solid 8.9/10. The animation is nice, so is the art style. Not much of a fan of the opening and ending song but they sound nice as well. And really, this is the only romance anime this season that I was so eager to finish ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ..i am Not sure if i'll want more romance anime series, coz tbh, I feel like this is enough romance that I can take for now. Lolol. I am craving for some adventure anime series so I'll go with that next...
