ENGLISH VERSION
Life offers us both inexpensive and costly opportunities, yet neither is inherently less valuable than the other. In my family, we leaned toward affordable clothing—simply because that was all we could afford. In fact, my mother—who didn’t even know how to sew—taught herself by taking apart pairs of trousers and creating paper patterns. Her first attempts weren’t perfect, but she learned, and in doing so, she saved enough money to ensure we always had the books we needed for school.
I suppose more expensive clothing tends to last longer, yet those who wear such items rarely repeat an outfit. It’s a bit of a contradiction: expensive clothes are built to last, but they are worn so infrequently. In contrast, inexpensive clothing is worn time and again—until the fabric becomes so thin that it eventually tears from constant use.
As for me, I’ll continue wearing more affordable clothing; after all, my closet is full of it, and I certainly can’t take any of it with me to the other side of life. That said, I truly enjoy every single piece I wear—and those moments are captured in photographs for the future.
