Sin duda si tuviera que hacer una estatua seria a mis padres. Cuando uno avanza en la vida y compara las altas y bajas que a lo largo tuvieron que enfrentar nos damos cuenta lo valiente que fueron. Seguramente ellos no se sentirían así, simplemente cumplían con sus trabajos, con su deber para mantener, educar y criar a su familia. Pero son normas, creencias pasadas de generación en generación, ellos fueron los que tuvieron poca educación y sin embargo sus normas y creencias son altamente valoradas en la actualidad.
El esfuerzo por seguir adelante a pesar de las dificultades.
Ahora que yo regresaba de mi viaje y que en pocas horas estaría en mi hogar, me puse a pensar en esos 20 días en barco que tuvieron que atravesar mis padres para llegar a su destino. Sin saber que les esperaba de ese otro lado del mundo y con mucho temor ante el futuro.
A ellos les construiría una estatua de bronce por esa entereza para construir el futuro.

ENGLISH VERSION
Without a doubt, if I were to build a statue, it would be for my parents. As one moves through life and reflects on the ups and downs they had to face, one realizes just how brave they were. They likely wouldn’t see it that way themselves—they were simply fulfilling their roles, doing their duty to provide for, educate, and raise their family. They lived by certain standards and beliefs passed down through generations; despite having had little formal education, the values they held are highly regarded today.
The effort to keep moving forward, regardless of the hardships.
As I made my way back from my trip—nearing home after just a few more hours—I found myself thinking about the 20 days my parents spent at sea to reach their destination. They had no idea what awaited them on the other side of the world, and they faced the future with great trepidation.
I would build a bronze statue in their honor, to commemorate the fortitude with which they set out to forge a future.
