Less than 12 hours from now, the current Voucher cards will no longer be available in the Voucher Shop, and as we go into a new season, a new batch of Voucher cards will be released. It was the second time that the team has released voucher cards in a batch of 3 since the Voucher Shop was opened, probably as their way to provide more utility to the Vouchers, which loses its previous utility as a discount for buying packs and an alternative payment option when purchasing Wild Pass, since just selling one card does not seem to be doing a fine job.
Anyway, before the cards leave the Voucher Shop, below are the results for the Black Foil Auction for Knowl Brightbane.
Black Foil Arcane Knowl Brightbane Winners
Unlike the GFA Fortune Draw, the Black Foil Auction for Knowl Brightbane only lasted for a total of 10 days since there are only 10 Black Foil copies of the card that will be auctioned, making it an incredibly scarce card. Also, unlike in the Fortune draw, where anyone who submits their entries has the chance to acquire the card, the only way to win the auction is to be the highest bidder for the card. In short, it's a whale's game, and here are the winners of the auction as well as how much they spent for each card.

All in all, the winners for the Black Foil Arcane Auction event have spent a total of 1,703 Auction Marks, or an average of 170 Auction Marks per card. Using beaker007's Resource Converter, an Auction Mark costs 3005.53 DEC or 377.88 SPS. That was the price for 1000 Aura and 50 Vouchers, including the 500 DEC fee to craft each Auction Mark. So a Black Foil Arcane copy of Knowl Brightbane should cost at around 510,940.1 DEC if we based it on the average Auction Marks used.
If we compare that to the cost of purchasing a max-level copy of a regular foil Knowl Brightbane in the General sale, which costs 10,000 Vouchers that is equivalent to 329,335.353 DEC, it seems that the Black Foil version of the card costs about 180k more than the regular foil, which it should be the case given its scarcity.
When it comes to the winning bids, the player who won the lowest bid was michealb, with the mint #4 for only 145 Auction Marks, but he also bid for mint #5 for 165 Auction Marks. Meanwhile, the highest bid went to azircon, who won the mint #9 of the card for 200 Auction Marks.

Now, let's go back to the requirements needed to craft an Auction Mark. Each Auction Mark needs DEC, Aura, and Voucher to craft the token in the Artisan Quarter and for the Auction Marks used in the Auction, here is the breakdown of the resources and tokens that were used.

Through this auction, we burned a total of 85,150 Vouchers, which is not a lot since we mint about 40k Vouchers a day, and the amount we burned here is just enough for 2 days' worth of Vouchers. But it was not all of the Vouchers that were burned, since we also had the Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw event and the General Sale, which is yet to conclude. Also, the Auction has burned 1,703,000 Aura, which is good for land, and with the 851,500 DEC that was used to craft the Auction Marks, the company and the DAO get 425,750 DEC each.
Closing
Compared to the common promo card that precedes it, Knowl Brightbane seems to sell better in this Auction. Can't say that was the case for the General Sale and Fortune Draw. But we will soon know about it, and I plan to write it here to see if the sale has done its job in reducing Voucher inflation.
