Hello, there! **@saydie** here, playing **Splinterlands** everyday!
Two days ago, a new set of Voucher cards became available at the Voucher Shop, replacing the previous set of Voucher cards. The three cards that were replaced were Krowl Brightbane, Vethos Spineclaw, and Taark Nightbloom. And the only way to obtain them now is to buy them on the secondary market. Might have disappointed other players who were hoping to buy more of this card at the last minute, because the maintenance for Modern Brackets takes a long time to conclude; by the time it was finished, the cards were already replaced.
And now that the sale period for this card has come to an end, the question to be asked is whether we were able to burn through the Vouchers that were minted during the 90 days that the cards were available. Another question that comes with more cards in the Voucher shop is which among them performs the most. Because of the maintenance, it has also become difficult to get the final sales for the last batch of Voucher cards, but I have found a workaround to get close to the exact numbers.
Voucher Sales Summary
General Sale
For the general Voucher sale, I was not able to take a screenshot of the total sales for each card, but I was able to get a screenshot of the total Voucher sales through Lilyfire. Apparently, there is a total of 1,089,850 Vouchers that were spent during the General sale period.
Skins
As for the Card Skins, there are two types of card skins that were available for each of the Voucher cards. The cheaper one was the Famed Skin, while the more expensive one was the Fabled Skin, with a much lower mint population.
| Card Name | Skin Type | Voucher Price | Skin Purchased | Voucher Sales |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Knowl Brightbane | Famed | 75 |
50 | 3,750 |
| Fabled | 500 |
5 | 2,500 |
|
| Vethos Spineclaw | Famed | 125 |
18 | 2,250 |
| Fabled | 750 |
5 | 3,750 |
|
| Taark Nightbloom | Famed | 200 |
17 | 3,400 |
| Fabled | 900 |
5 | 4,500 |
|
| Total Vouchers | 20,150 |
To get the total skin sales, all I did here was multiply the respective price for each skin type by the total number of skins that were purchased, and with that, the total Vouchers spent on skins was 20,150 Vouchers.
Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw
For the Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw event, the way that it works is that players will need to spend the required amount of Fortune Ticket to enter into a raffle, by which one player will win a Gold Foil Version of the Voucher cards. But players who did not win will still be able to have a regular version of the card, equal to the number of entries they entered.
| Card Name | GFA Versions Minted | Total Entries | Ticket Requirments | Total Fortune Tickets | Total Vouchers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Krowl Brightbane | 25 | 10,343 | 1 | 10,343 | |
| Vethos Spineclaw | 10 | 2,244 | 5 | 11,220 | |
| Taark Nightbloom | 5 | 894 | 10 | 8,940 | |
| Total Vouchers |
And for this event, there are a total of 305,030 Vouchers that were spent, with Vethos Spineclaw performing the most.
Black Foil Arcane Auction
For the Black Foil Arcane Auction, Players will have to use an Auction Mark, which is crafted using Vouchers and Aura. To acquire the card, the player needs to be the highest bidder of the card before the countdown ends.
| Card Name | BFA Versions Minted | Auction Marks Used | Total Vouchers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Krowl Brightbane | 10 | 1,703 | |
| Vethos Spineclaw | 5 | 810 | |
| Taark Nightbloom | 3 | 777 | |
| Total Vouchers |
And for this event, there are a total of 164,150 Vouchers that were spent, with Krowl Brightbane performing the most this time.
Summary
| General Sale | Vouchers Spent |
|---|---|
| General Sale | |
| Skin Sale | |
| GFA Fortune Draw | |
| BFA Auction | |
| Total Sales | |
| Voucher's Minted (90 days) | |
| Short |
Each day, we minted 40k vouchers, so if we multiply that by the 90 days that the cards were available in the shop, we were minting about 3,600,000 Vouchers in total.
Closing
Despite the efforts to burn more Vouchers by placing multiple cards to be purchased, we still ended up 2M Vouchers short in the last batch. I will say that one of the factors that could affect its sales was that the card was not as strong as the previous batch, and the potential sales during the last hours of the sale were interrupted by the maintenance. Would it fill all the shortfall? No, but it could at least burn more vouchers.
Thank you, and see you on the next post!
