Description from Strava:
I am still in recovery mode with my cold that is lingering so just trying to get out for some runs to maintain fitness. There was a definite chill in the air this morning, but I did not bother with extra layers as I soon warm up.

I did the Fairfield loop again, but clockwise this time. There were a few kids off to school on their bikes so I had to dodge them. My pace was a little quicker than last time. Strava shows my 'fitness' as down a bit, but I think that is down to less recent runs. I was reading about the regime of Jacob Ingebrigsten and he is on a very different level with up to 200km of running each week. That is what you need to be the best.

There are a couple of old Ford Capri cars around here. I remember them well from my youth.

This was a good run for me and set me up for the day. That mood was not helped when my PC was playing up. It looks like there is an issue with the GPU as it has reverted to low resolution that makes for a strange web experience. I will have to see if there are connection issues. The PC is still under warranty if it needs a replacement.

Have a great day and run free!

Loving that Capri! I bet in the UK they were available with manual transmission, weren’t they?

Great run! 7.71km in 45 minutes is a solid pace, and 625 calories burned is no joke. I really like how you tell the story β€” from the route details to those old Ford Capri cars you remember from your youth.

I have to admit I miss running too. I had a hip surgery back in March and the doctors advised me against it for now, which is frustrating when you see posts like yours that make you want to get back out there. But patience, right? Your discipline is inspiring.

Hope your cold passes soon β€” running really is the best medicine for body and mind.

    "Run free" β€” perfect! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

It's interesting the different models of cars the big three have for different countries.
