Hello to all members of this community and sewing enthusiasts! Today I'd like to show you another simple and quick sewing project, perfect if you're a beginner or want to make pieces in batches. I've already shown you how to make jellyfish-shaped keychains and some beautiful circular keychains, so this time, I'll be showing you keychains in a different style that I hope you'll like! 😇
To make these keychains, I used scraps of cotton fabric. The size of the figures depended on the size of these fabric pieces, as I tried to use the fabric as much as possible. I traced the shape onto two pieces of fabric and cut them out, leaving the appropriate seam allowance.

Then, on one of the keyring pieces, I sewed a small piece of lace in the center and more ruffled lace all around the edge, as decoration.

Next, I decorated the fabric by hand with the ribbon scraps I had. This is where we can get creative. I sewed a button in the center, although it would have been great to add a sparkly plastic gem, a half-pearl, or some other embellishment.

To attach the keyring, I sewed a small piece of patterned fabric onto the top of the piece I had decorated.

Now it's time to place both pieces of fabric together and sew them all around the edge, making sure to leave an opening so you can turn it right side out. Once that's done, stuff the keychain with wadding or cut fabric. To close the opening, you can either hand-sew it or machine-stitch it all around the edge.

Finally, attach the keyring to the top ribbon and you'll have a cute and charming keyring to put on your keys or to show off on your bag ✨

As you can see, it's quite easy to do. It can be sewn entirely by hand, and you can make any shapes you like. I started by making hearts and stars. The decoration is also entirely up to you.
I love these kinds of projects because they give a chance to scraps of fabric or other materials that at first seemed to have no use.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de la costura! Hoy me gustaría mostrarles otro proyecto de costura sencillo y rápido de realizar, perfecto por si se es principiante en la costura o si se desea elaborar piezas por lotes. Ya les he mostrado cómo hacer llaveros con formas de medusa y también unos hermosos llaveros circulares, así que en esta ocasión, serán unos llaveros con otro estilo que espero, les guste 😇
Para hacer estos llaveros, yo utilicé unos retazos de tela de algodón. El tamaño de las figuras dependió del tamaño de estos pedacitos de tela, ya que traté de aprovechar la tela al máximo. De esa forma, marqué la figura en dos retazos de tela y recorté las misma, dejando el respectivo aumento de costura.

Luego, en una de las piezas del llavero, cosí un trocito de encaje en el centro y más encaje ruchado por todo el borde, a modo de decoración.

Lo siguiente, fue decorar a mano, la tela con los retazos de cintas que tenía. En esta parte, podemos ser creativos. Yo le cosí un botón en el centro, aunque hubiera sido genial poder colocarle una gema brillante de plástico, una media perla u otra figura.

Para colocar el aro de llavero, cosí un trocito de tela estampada en la parte superior de la pieza que hube decorado.

Ahora sí, llegó el momento de enfrentar ambas piezas de tela y coserlas por todo el borde, procurando dejar una abertura para poder voltearlo. Una vez hecho esto, se procede a rellenar el llavero con guata o tela cortada y para cerrar la abertura, podemos hacerlo con una costura a mano o pasar una costura a máquina por todo el borde de la figura.

Para finalizar, se coloca el aro de llavero en la cinta superior y tendremos un lindo y coqueto llavero para colocar en nuestras llaves o para presumir en nuestro bolso ✨

Como pueden ver, se trata de algo fácil de realizar. Puede coserse a mano completamente y hacerse las figuras que deseemos. En mi caso, yo comencé haciendo corazones y estrellas. La decoración, también es a nuestro gusto.
Adoro este tipo de proyectos, porque le doy la oportunidad a retazos de tela u otros materiales que al principio, parecían no tener ningún uso.
