🇺🇸 ~ Before you feel like you’re on the brink because of a situation, there’s surely a long list of incidents full of red flags—where just one would have been more than enough to have done something about it, anything—except what you did.
What did you do? You kept quiet, were patient, tolerated it, moved on, saw it as an isolated incident that wouldn’t happen again—all with hope and resilience— because you were taught that doing the opposite would make you a bad person.
I believe we all have the ability to recognize what’s wrong, but the impulse to defend ourselves, to speak up, to point it out, to name it and call it out loud—to give it a name—is in constant conflict with what was instilled in us during our upbringing.

And so time passes; everything you put up with continues to cause harm, and really, really, it all adds up and is terrible; it progressively and relentlessly erodes our lives, our health, our finances, and our peace of mind—until we reach this point, the breaking point where everything explodes.
Today I’m reflecting and I believe that from the very first sign, something can be done (I’m not saying it’s easy), even if it’s clumsy, uncertain, or imperfect; I mean, you have that option, that choice—you don’t necessarily have to wait until you’re so affected that your frustration becomes the driving force behind taking a stand.
I’m sure you’ve already noticed, but this piece started backwards, from the bottom up, with the question, “Did we have a way to have avoided all that bad stuff?” Because I value life—others’ and my own—so highly, and I will always deeply regret the time wasted on undeserved anguish.

But here we are, at that breaking point, at the end where all your resources have run out and suddenly “there’s nothing left to lose,” it’s good to remember that angels have swords and the meaning behind their image is that not everything can be solved through diplomacy.
In your life and mine, many things may be happening—or nothing at all—but the only certainty is that change won’t come from the outside. Whether it’s about what we like or dislike, our shortcomings, or our dissatisfactions, all of that will begin to shift only if you take action yourself.
I regret the time wasted—that includes the time spent paying attention to speeches and ideas that fuel the—misguided—narrative that we are the good guys and everyone else is the bad guy, as if judgment alone will change anything regarding the well-being we need to liberate and protect—unless you have unresolved ego issues, and seeing yourself as the good guy brings you peace—

So, making sense of it all, yes, “you have to be fed up to start changing”—I’m now thinking about where that limit lies, which varies as much as each person’s personality.
We all have our own timing, has been one of the lessons I learned in 2026.
And when that moment comes, channeling all those feelings into energy—and using that energy as a driving force to break free from where we are—is, I believe, the best thing that could happen to us: Knowing that you did everything possible to make something work, or that you gave it your all and more with a genuine belief that things would get better, but they didn’t.
This topic may not be new, as Syllem says, but hearing or reading about it helps and comforts those who need it; let’s remember that in many personal struggles, even if a person is right, they’ll still have doubts and suffer because of it—so this is a friendly reminder that will never lose its relevance.
