🇪🇸 ~ El día de ayer termine un pequeño pedido de prendedores personalizados, una amiga lo encargo para sus hijos porque le dijeron que querían decorar sus mochilas para el colegio; ambos niños (son mellizos) les gusta el animé y los videojuegos y para mi es grandioso (y super reconfortante) ver cómo mi amiga en lugar de cuestionarles sus gustos, los apoya dentro de lo razonable.

🇺🇸 ~ Yesterday I finished a small order of custom pins. A friend of mine ordered them for her kids because they told her they wanted to decorate their backpacks for school; both kids (they’re twins) like anime and video games, and I think it’s great (and really heartwarming) to see how my friend, instead of questioning their tastes, supports them within reason.
✦ I guess it depends on the model of machine you have, but mine is a bit finicky about the margins ~ 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 ✦
Siempre que tengo la oportunidad de sacar mi máquina para hacer chapas soy muy feliz, nunca he dudado de lo buena inversión que fue comprarla en su momento (hace más de 10 años), porque me ha servido mucho para tener un gesto especial con personas que considero especiales.

Hablando surtido, también he podido ayudar a mi mamá a fabricar pines especiales para los eventos de su colegio, también he podido ayudar a otras personas con sus emprendimientos, y también de vez en cuando ha representado una manera de generar ingresos extra desde la comodidad y seguridad de mi hogar.

Speaking of variety, I've also been able to help my mom make special pins for her school events, I've helped other people with their business ventures, and every now and then it's been a way to earn some extra income from the comfort and safety of my home.
Me alegra el corazón ver que los pines en este formato vuelven a estar de moda, no tanto entre los eventos publicitarios como los que veíamos hace unos años donde fueron muy famosos en reuniones comerciales y empresariales, sino mas bien, están gozando de gran popularidad entre los mas jóvenes.
Como yo lo veo, gracias a Dios esta volviendo a estar de moda apropiarse y vivir tus cosas, tu ropa, tus accesorios, tus espacios, siento que eso se perdió por mucho tiempo por el terror al cringe y al juicio de otros.

It warms my heart to see that pins in this style are back in fashion—not so much at promotional events like the ones we saw a few years ago, where they were all the rage at trade shows and business gatherings, but rather, they’re enjoying great popularity among younger people.
The way I see it, thank God it’s becoming trendy again to make things your own and live your life on your own terms—your clothes, your accessories, your spaces— I feel like that was lost for a long time due to the fear of “cringe” and the judgment of others.

La vida es muy corta para silenciar las cosas buenas amigos, para suprimir tu creatividad, para no hablar de tus series favoritas y también para desaprovechar todos los bonitos recursos a costos accesibles que tenemos hoy para tener un pedacito de algo con lo que nos identificamos o nos representa (una frase, un símbolo, un personaje).
Espero que antes de que termine este mes pueda encargar un nuevo lote de material, porque me quedan muy pocas unidades en casa y nunca sabes cuándo o quién podría necesitar (eso también me recuerda que debo hacerle mantenimiento a la máquina pronto, me gustaría hacer un post sobre eso).
Si en algún momento has pensado adquirir una de estas máquinas, con toda confianza te diría que 100% sí, es de esas cosas que aunque no son comunes, es bueno tenerlas.

Life is too short to keep the good things to yourself, friends—to stifle your creativity, to avoid talking about your favorite TV shows, and to let all the wonderful, affordable resources we have today go to waste—resources that let us have a little piece of something we identify with or that represents us (a phrase, a symbol, a character).
I hope that before the end of this month I can order a new batch of supplies, because I have very few left at home and you never know when or who might need them (that also reminds me that I need to service the machine soon—I’d like to write a post about that).
If you’ve ever thought about buying one of these machines, I’d say with complete confidence that 100% yes, it’s one of those things that, even though they’re not common, are good to have.
