Encuentro de talentos || “El viaje“ [Esp-Eng]

❣️Hola amigos de hive!❣️

❣️Hello friends of hive!❣️

This is my contribution to this gathering of talented writers, where our friend @angelica7 invites us to write on the theme “The Journey.” At some point in our lives, we’ve all wished we could travel back in time to relive certain moments—which would be a great opportunity to change our destiny, correct some mistakes, get a second chance to stay on the right path, or perhaps heal a wound that has left an indelible mark on us. If I had to change something about my past, it would be my illness, because going through cancer is no easy feat.

Although over the years I’ve come to realize that there are chapters I’d never want to relive, I wouldn’t erase them either, because they taught me things I might never have learned otherwise. I’d also like to change that tendency we’ve so often had to turn our differences into sources of conflict. If we’d learned sooner that thinking, believing, or living differently doesn’t make the other person our enemy, many pages of history probably would never have been written in blood. So, perhaps, if I could truly travel back in time, I’d do something much simpler: I’d hug a little more those I can no longer hug, and I’d tell them some things that I thought back then I’d have my whole life to say. Because the past can teach us a lot, but the only story we can still change is the one we’re writing today.

We dream of having a happy life, or we hope that many years of good times will bring a smile to our faces at the end of our lives. However, I believe that the true reason for our existence is to overcome the difficulties we face and get back up as many times as possible. Life is a journey full of ups and downs, and we must learn to live it and strive to always carry humility, a positive attitude, and a great deal of faith with us.
