Buenos días comunidad de Scrobble, hoy les traigo esta secuela que se creó después de que “Las locuras del emperador” haya tenido tanto éxito.
Esta historia se centra más en la vida de Kronk después de lo ocurrido con Yzma en la anterior película. Así que iniciemos con esta nueva peli.
🎬 Un poco de contexto
Luego de los sucesos ocurridos con el emperador e Yzma en la primera película, podemos ver que Kronk decidió dedicarse y hacer lo que más quería. Era cocinero en un restaurante del pueblo, tenía buenos amigos en el asilo de ancianos y parecía disfrutar de su vida.
Pero un día le llega una carta de su padre quien indica que iba a visitarlo para conocerlo todo lo que le había contado en cartas anteriores. Él, muy preocupado, no sabía qué hacer, porque básicamente había mentido en todo: no tenía esposa, una gran casa en la colina ni un trabajo aceptable.
Si bien él se sentía muy a gusto con su vida, no era lo ideal para su padre, entonces él quería impresionarlo y lograr así obtener su aprobación (el pulgar en alto). Resulta que esta carta la había escrito mucho antes cuando sí tenía una novia, una gran casa y mucho dinero.
Pero, ¿qué pasó con todo eso?, se preguntarán, pues lo fue perdiendo por distintas causas que en parte fueron por ser honrado, solidario y por algunos malentendidos.
Entonces la peli nos cuenta cómo fue esa vida perfecta que tenía, cómo conoció a su ex novia, cómo obtuvo y perdió su gran casa y todo su dinero. Pero, ¿será que su padre comprenderá todo eso o lo desaprobará?
Para salvar el momento decide mentirle y consigue todo lo que había contado en la carta, pero su padre se da cuenta de que todo es una farsa y le pide que le cuente la verdad.
Kronk, muy triste y avergonzado, lo hace esperando que su padre lo juzgara y quedara muy decepcionado de él.
¿Cómo será que termina? pues si no viste la película ve a conseguirla y luego vuelve para analizar mejor esta peli.

❤️ Lo que más me gustó de esta segunda parte
Una peli súper divertida y con varias subhistorias sobre lo que pasó con Kronk luego de que ya no tenía trabajo en el palacio de Kuzco.
Hay escenas muy divertidas y bonitas que me gustaría compartir contigo, por ejemplo, cuando Kronk se reencontró con Yzma, ella lo convenció para que venda una “poción” que haría rejuvenecer a los ancianos.
Esto le generó bastante dinero y así logró justamente conseguir su casa deseada en la colina, pero ocasionó que los ancianos se volvieron casi adictos a esa sustancia, para colmo se dio cuenta de que sólo era agua sucia de los canales y se sintió muy culpable por todo lo que había hecho.
Entonces para tratar de solucionar la situación decidió decirles la verdad y regalarles su casa para que la usaran como asilo. Este gesto fue muy bueno de su parte ya que esta casa tenía todas las comodidades que los ancianos podían disfrutar.
Si bien en un principio parecía que lo que hacía estaba bien, vio que los ancianos, por tratar de conseguir dinero para la pócima, vendieron todas sus pertenencias, quedándose pobres y sin hogar. Entonces ahí se dio cuenta de que no estaba bien lo que pasaba y además al enterarse de que no era una pócima real, decidió asumir su responsabilidad y ayudarlos.
Creo que fue lo mejor que pudo hacer porque además eran sus amigos y no quería verlos sufrir y ser engañados por Yzma, quien era la que había ideado todo ese plan para salir de la pobreza.
Ahora otra parte que me gustó fue cuando conoció a su ex novia Birdwell, a quién había conocido en un campamento. Casi al instante se gustaron ya que compartían varios intereses y valores como instructores de campamento.
La escena en la que hornean un pan de pasas es una de mis favoritas porque lo hacen al son de una música muy alegre y movida, así es que sellan su amor y se convierten en pareja.
Ellos estaban compitiendo en un concurso sobre qué equipo era el mejor y si en un principio empezaron a competir y mostrar sus mejores armas, luego de esta escena se reconcilian y deciden que gane el mejor.
Pero por un malentendido con uno de los campistas de Kronk, su novia Birdwell piensa que quería hacer trampa y ganar el premio, cuando antes habían decidido dejarlo a la suerte y divertirse con sus equipos. Entonces se siente traicionada y lo abandona.
Por último, en la parte final de la película, vemos que su padre llega a la ciudad y todos sus amigos y compañeros hicieron lo posible para ayudarlo y así obtener el pulgar de su padre en alto. Ahí Kronk se da cuenta de que no necesitaba todos esos lujos y cosas indispensables que su padre siempre le había pedido.
Así que decide decirle la verdad a su padre y decirle que no importaba si él estaba de acuerdo o no con él, porque él era feliz así y eso era lo más importante. Contra todo pronóstico, su padre levanta su pulgar en forma de aprobación.
Entendió que lo importante era que su hijo tuviera una buena vida y que fuera feliz, además creo que tomó en cuenta que había madurado y que peleaba por aquello que en verdad era importante para él.
Esta escena es muy conmovedora, además de que aparece su ex novia y después de haber entendido lo sucedido decide volver con él.
💭 Lo que me hizo pensar
Hay varias cosas interesantes que puedo sacar de esta peli, si bien es una para niños, creo que pueden aplicarse algunas cosas a nuestras vidas.
Por un lado, podemos ver que Kronk es un buen chico ya que siempre fue honrado y solidario con todos a su alrededor. Por eso fue que a pesar de tener su casa grande y haber gastado mucho dinero en construirla, decidió dejarla y regalarla a sus amigos para que vivieran ahí cómodamente.
Ahora si nos vamos a la historia de su novia, aquí vemos que uno de los niños del equipo de Kronk había hecho trampa para que ellos ganaran, porque en principio eso quería Kronk y el niño, por ayudarlo y cumplir con sus expectativas, hizo eso.
Kronk se dio cuenta de que en parte era su culpa porque había llegado a confundir al niño diciendo que debían ganar a toda costa, entonces él mismo se echó la culpa y por eso su novia terminó con él. Antes de que castigaran al niño él prefirió terminar su relación con ella.
Esto fue muy lindo de su parte y me impresionó que prefiriera terminar con su novia por salvar al niño, quizá yo hubiera tratado de explicar lo que pasó y que ella comprendiera, pero también vemos que ella exageró su respuesta y decidió alejarse por completo.
Ahora pasando a la historia con su padre; a Kronk, desde pequeño, siempre le gustó cocinar y hablar con las ardillas, pero eso no le gustaba para nada a su padre, quien era muy estricto y gruñón. Si bien creo que quería lo mejor para su hijo, no consideraba lo que a él le podía gustar.
Tanto fue el miedo que Kronk le tenía a su padre que trató de ocultar su verdadera vida, además de hacer todo lo que él quería para obtener al fin su aprobación, aunque esto implicara hacer cosas que no le gustaran.

Kronk's New Groove (2005): All for a Thumbs Up 👍
Good morning, Scrobble community, today I bring you this sequel that was created after "The Emperor's New Groove" was so successful.
This story focuses more on Kronk's life after what happened with Yzma in the previous movie. So let's start with this new movie.
🎬 A bit of context
After the events involving the emperor and Yzma in the first movie, we can see that Kronk decided to dedicate himself to doing what he loved the most. He was a cook in a village restaurant, had good friends at the nursing home, and seemed to enjoy his life.
But one day he receives a letter from his father stating that he was going to visit him to see everything he had told him in previous letters. He, very worried, didn't know what to do, because he had basically lied about everything: he didn't have a wife, a big house on the hill, or an acceptable job.
Although he felt very comfortable with his life, it wasn't ideal for his father, so he wanted to impress him and thus gain his approval (the thumbs up). It turns out that this letter had been written much earlier when he did have a girlfriend, a big house, and a lot of money.
But, what happened to all that?, you might ask, well, he started losing it for various reasons, partly because he was honest, supportive, and due to some misunderstandings.
So the movie tells us how that perfect life he had was, how he met his ex-girlfriend, how he got and lost his big house and all his money. But, will his father understand all that or disapprove of it?
To save the moment, he decides to lie to him and manages to get everything he had told in the letter, but his father realizes that it is all a farce and asks him to tell the truth.
Kronk, very sad and embarrassed, does it hoping that his father would judge him and be very disappointed in him.
How does it end? Well, if you haven't seen the movie, go get it and then come back to analyze it better.

❤️ What I liked most about this second part
A super fun movie with several subplots about what happened to Kronk after he no longer had a job in Kuzco's palace.
There are very funny and beautiful scenes that I would like to share with you, for example, when Kronk reunited with Yzma, she convinced him to sell a "potion" that would make the elderly rejuvenate.
This generated quite a bit of money for him, and he was able to finally get his dream house on the hill, but it caused the elderly to become almost addicted to that substance. To make matters worse, he realized it was just dirty canal water, and he felt very guilty for everything he had done.
So, to try to resolve the situation, he decided to tell them the truth and give them his house to use as a shelter. This gesture was very kind of him since this house had all the amenities that the elderly could enjoy.
Although at first it seemed that what he was doing was right, he saw that the elders, in trying to get money for the potion, sold all their belongings, ending up poor and homeless. Then he realized that what was happening was not right, and upon discovering that it wasn't a real potion, he decided to take responsibility and help them.
I think it was the best thing he could do because they were his friends and he didn't want to see them suffer and be deceived by Yzma, who was the one who had devised the whole plan to escape poverty.
Now, another part that I liked was when he met his ex-girlfriend Birdwell, whom he had met at a camp. Almost instantly, they liked each other as they shared several interests and values as camp instructors.
The scene where they bake a raisin bread is one of my favorites because they do it to the tune of very cheerful and lively music, so they seal their love and become a couple.
They were competing in a contest to see which team was the best, and while they initially started competing and showing their best skills, after this scene they reconcile and decide that the best should win.
But due to a misunderstanding with one of Kronk's campers, his girlfriend Birdwell thinks he wanted to cheat and win the prize, when he had previously decided to leave it to chance and have fun with his teams. Then she feels betrayed and leaves him.
Finally, in the last part of the movie, we see that his father arrives in the city and all his friends and companions did everything possible to help him and thus get his father's thumbs up. There, Kronk realizes that he didn't need all those luxuries and essential things that his father had always asked for.
So he decides to tell his father the truth and tell him that it didn't matter whether he agreed with him or not, because he was happy that way and that was the most important thing. Against all odds, his father gives a thumbs-up in approval.
He understood that what mattered was that his son had a good life and was happy. I also think he took into account that he had matured and was fighting for what was truly important to him.
This scene is very moving, especially since his ex-girlfriend appears and after understanding what happened, she decides to get back together with him.
💭 What made me think
There are several interesting things I can take from this movie, even though it's for kids, I think some things can be applied to our lives.
On one hand, we can see that Kronk is a good guy because he was always honest and supportive to everyone around him. That's why, despite having his big house and having spent a lot of money building it, he decided to leave it and give it to his friends so they could live there comfortably.
Now, if we go to the story of his girlfriend, here we see that one of the kids on Kronk's team had cheated so they would win, because initially, that's what Kronk wanted, and the kid, to help him and meet his expectations, did that.
Kronk realized that it was partly his fault because he had confused the boy by saying they had to win at all costs, so he took the blame himself and that's why his girlfriend broke up with him. Before they punished the child, he preferred to end his relationship with her.
This was very kind of him, and I was impressed that he preferred to break up with his girlfriend to save the child. Maybe I would have tried to explain what happened and have her understand, but we also see that she exaggerated her response and decided to completely distance herself.
Now moving on to the story with his father; Kronk, since he was little, always liked to cook and talk to squirrels, but his father didn't like that at all, as he was very strict and grumpy. Although I believe he wanted the best for his son, he didn't consider what his son might like.
Kronk was so afraid of his father that he tried to hide his true life, in addition to doing everything he wanted to finally gain his approval, even if it meant doing things he didn't like.
