Buenas tardes, comunidad de Ladies of Hive, este mes creo que es uno de los favoritos de muchos porque podemos usar disfraces, comer dulces y disfrutar de las fiestas de Halloween.
Y justamente sobre este tema trata la dinámica de esta semana, cuyas preguntas me parecieron muy buenas. Así que empecemos.
🎭 Si alguna vez la comunidad de Ladies of Hive organiza una lujosa reunión de mascarada, ¿de qué figura histórica, autor/artista consumado o personaje ficticio te vestirás para este evento imaginario y por qué?
Me encantó esta pregunta y la verdad es que siempre me hacen esa pregunta, a veces pienso en disfrazarme de Slash, me gusta mucho su cabello y su sombrero, si bien parece un disfraz simple, creo que me gustaría disfrazarme así.
También me gustaría usar uno de esos vestidos antiguos, pomposos y lujosos que se usaban en los bailes de máscaras, aunque eso sí sería mucho más complicado de conseguir o confeccionar y, además, de llevar puesto jeje.
Otra opción que me gustaría sería disfrazarme de catrina, el arte del maquillaje facial es impresionante y creo que cada uno le puede dar su estilo único. Otra cosa que me gustaría usar es ese vestuario elegante y aterrador que llevaban los médicos de la peste, me parece genial, pero a la vez terrorífico.
Así que con un poco de aquello y un poco de lo otro, combinaría estos estilos crear un personaje con un vestido largo y elegante, quizá con un antifaz o la cara pintada como catrina, llevar un sombrero elegante y otros detalles.
Con estos modelos podría crear un disfraz que combine todos los estilos que me gustaría representar en un solo personaje. Como dicen, se puede sacar lo mejor de cada idea para crear algo muchísimo mejor y a la vez terrorífico.
Sería mi propia versión de un personaje ficticio, que combine la elegancia de una dama antigua, el misterio de un médico de la peste y la riqueza cultural de una catrina. Yo no soy de México, pero me gusta mucho cómo se celebra allá el Día de Muertos y espero algún día poder ir a verlo.
También me gustaría conocer cómo se celebra en Japón, donde hay desfiles de bestias y criaturas tenebrosas inspiradas en sus historias y leyendas tradicionales, la verdad, todas parecen bastante aterradoras, pero me encantaría conocerlas de cerca.
Obviamente, también escogería los colores negro y morado porque este último es mi color favorito, pero además le da un estilo único al disfraz, y son colores que suelen asociarse con Halloween. Elegancia, terror y cultura, así sería mi disfraz.
👩🎤 Deja a un lado el gel de baño, apaga la ducha, cambia ese cepillo por un micrófono e imagínate como un cantante famoso. ¿Qué estilo cantarías? Elige uno, dos o incluso tres miembros de Hive como integrantes de tu grupo musical imaginario y explica el motivo.
Creo que elegiría a Michael Jackson porque es mi artista favorito y me la pasaría cantando todas sus canciones jeje. Todo un concierto en el baño jeje.
Como él canta pop, cantaría alguna canción divertida y movida, como Bad, Thriller, They don’t care about us o Black or White.
Y creo que para todas ellas necesito a mis bailarines y cantantes, así que quizá escogería a @Elizabeths14, @evelynchacin, @sacra97 y a ti, @kerrislravenhill.
Por lo que he podido conocer de ustedes creo que podría gustarles este tipo de música y, sobre todo, cantar estas canciones. Además, ya las conozco un poco más y siempre he recibido su apoyo dentro de la comunidad, así que ¡qué mejor que formar un grupo musical con todas ustedes! jeje.

LOH Contest #310: Between Elegance, Terror, and Culture
Good afternoon, Ladies of Hive community, this month I think is one of the favorites for many because we can wear costumes, eat sweets, and enjoy Halloween parties.
And this week's activity is precisely about this topic, whose questions I found very good. So let's get started.
🎭 If the Ladies of Hive community ever organizes a luxurious masquerade gathering, which historical figure, accomplished author/artist, or fictional character would you dress up as for this imaginary event and why?
I loved this question, and the truth is that they always ask me that question. Sometimes I think about dressing up as Slash; I really like his hair and his hat. Although it seems like a simple costume, I think I would enjoy dressing up like that.
I would also like to wear one of those old, pompous, and luxurious dresses that were worn at masquerade balls, although that would be much more complicated to obtain or make, and, moreover, to wear haha.
Another option I would like would be to dress up as a Catrina; the art of facial makeup is impressive, and I think everyone can give it their unique style. Another thing I would like to wear is that elegant and terrifying outfit that the plague doctors used to wear, I think it's great, but at the same time terrifying.
So with a bit of this and a bit of that, I would combine these styles to create a character with a long and elegant dress, perhaps with a mask or face painted like a Catrina, wearing an elegant hat and other details.
With these models, I could create a costume that combines all the styles I would like to represent in a single character. As they say, you can take the best from each idea to create something much better and at the same time terrifying.
It would be my own version of a fictional character, combining the elegance of an ancient lady, the mystery of a plague doctor, and the cultural richness of a Catrina. I am not from Mexico, but I really like how they celebrate the Day of the Dead there, and I hope to be able to see it someday.
I would also like to see how it is celebrated in Japan, where there are parades of beasts and eerie creatures inspired by their traditional stories and legends. Honestly, they all seem quite terrifying, but I would love to see them up close.
Obviously, I would also choose the colors black and purple because the latter is my favorite color, but it also gives a unique style to the costume, and they are colors that are usually associated with Halloween.

I think I would choose Michael Jackson because he is my favorite artist and I would spend all my time singing all his songs haha. A whole concert in the bathroom haha.

I even think each one of us would already have our own role, singer, drummer, dancer, and even guitarist. We already have everything to liven up or threaten at parties, hehe.
